Jerry O’Connell's Fantasy Preview, N64 Mount Rushmore, and Camp Barstool Recap
We’ve survived another week in the cabins for Camp Barstool, and the vibes are at an all-time high despite the collective body aches. Big Cat and PFT are joined by the cast at the campsite, nursing injuries from the blob and some very intense games of werewolf. While the physical toll of camp is real, the mental focus shifted quickly to the gridiron, especially with PFT doubling down on his favorite target in Washington.
Terry McLaurin will sign his contract extension today
I think [McLaurin] is gonna sign today, I think Friday. I think this is the day it gets done. Terry is fully on board. I really, I think he's gonna sign on Friday and then I think it's full, full steam ahead.
Before getting into the meat of the episode, the guys took a look at the landscape of the league. Big Cat is already finding reasons to fade certain superstars based on their recent preseason performances, specifically a certain two-way sensation in Los Angeles who had a rough outing against the Rockies.
Shohei Ohtani should be eliminated from MVP consideration after giving up five runs to the Rockies
Shohei [Ohtani] got rocked and he got hit by a line drive... he hit into a triple play, five runs against the Rockies. Those two things should eliminate you from the MVP.
The N64 Mount Rushmore Contention
With nostalgia running high at camp, the guys dove into a Mount Rushmore of N64 games. It started out civil with Goldeneye and Mario Kart, but things took a turn when Max decided to plant his flag on a certain Hylian adventure. Max was adamant that his pick wasn't just a personal favorite, but a consensus GOAT.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best video game ever made
We are gonna go Zelda: Ocarina of Time... widely known as the best game ever... It's like known as being the best game ever.
PFT and Big Cat weren't buying the Zelda hype, preferring the multiplayer chaos of Star Fox and Blitz. The tension from the camp competitions clearly bled into the draft, with Max feeling like he was on an island against the rest of the crew.
Jerry O’Connell’s 2025 Fantasy Preview
The main event arrived as Jerry O’Connell entered the bunk with a briefcase full of loose papers, Excedrin, and some very questionable advice from Stephen Che. Jerry’s strategy this year is being "open to the universe," which apparently means having some of the boldest takes in the history of the program. He started things off by going all-in on the Commanders' new signal-caller.
Jayden Daniels will break every single NFL quarterback record this season
I really believe Jayden Daniels is going to break all QB records this season... I think he's going to have 5,000 passing yards... I think he's going to have 1,600 rushing yards.
Jerry didn't stop there. He went through every division with the help of "AI" (which PFT correctly identified as just Stephen Che’s spreadsheets). Jerry is fading the big names in Miami and Houston, even predicting a massive fall-off for one of last year's breakout stars.
CJ Stroud will suffer a significant regression in his second season
I think CJ [Stroud] is going to regress even more. Even more... I just think he's going to regress even more. And you know what really bothered me about him... when he big brothered Caleb [Williams] last year.
As the preview continued, Jerry revealed his "must-draft" list and his "do-not-touch" list. Despite his "open to the universe" mantra, there are some players who have simply burned him too many times to ever be welcomed back onto Team PMT.
I am staying away from drafting Kyle Pitts in fantasy football this year
Staying away from the Falcons... Kyle Pitts lets us down every year. I'm not falling for it again. I know I'm supposed to be open to the universe except Kyle Pitts. I'm not open to the universe of Kyle Pitts.
He also shared some high-praise for a certain Bengals back who he believes is ready to explode this season thanks to an improved offensive line.
Chase Brown will finish the season as a top 5 fantasy running back
Chase Brown is just such a stud... I think [he] will be a top five RB. He's just, and by the way, when you had Coach Gruden on and he was talking about that offensive line, it just made me so excited.
To wrap up the interview, Jerry delivered a legendary poem for Zac that touched on everything from his Pilates instructors to his relationship with Baker Mayfield. It was a journey of a preview that left the guys both terrified and inspired for the upcoming season.
If Jayden Daniels actually rushes for 1,600 yards, we're all going to be living in Jerry's world.
