NFL Week 14: The Lions are Legit, Brock Purdy Schools Brady, and the Jags Rise
Week 14 is in the books, and we might have to officially apologize to Dan Campbell. The Detroit Lions didn't just beat the Vikings; they looked like the better team from start to finish. Jared Goff is playing out of his mind, Penei Sewell is catching first downs, and the Lions are suddenly the team that nobody wants to see in January.

I'm be, I'm joking a little bit when I say that they're the best team in the nfc, they're probably, they're probably number three right now in terms of how they're playing. Yeah. It's probably the Eagles, the 49ers and then the Lions are actually that good.
While the Lions are surging, the Vikings are proving that you can't live on one-score miracles forever. Their defense is giving up yards like they’re going out of style, and not even 223 yards from Justin Jefferson could save them. PFT noted that Jameson Williams catching a bomb for his first career touch is basically a lock for a Hall of Fame career.

The Brock Purdy Experience and Brady's Bad Day
The passing of the torch happened in San Francisco, and it was significantly more violent than anyone expected. Brock Purdy didn't just manage the game; he shredded a Tom Brady-led team while the G.O.A.T. looked like he was wondering if he could still get a refund on that retirement.

The MVP Race and the NFC East
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles officially punched their ticket to the playoffs by obliterating the Giants. It wasn't even a contest. The Eagles are peaking, and Hurts is making every throw look effortless, whether he’s hitting AJ Brown or Miles Sanders.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys narrowly escaped a disaster against the Texans. Dak Prescott had some shaky moments, leading PFT to suggest a very specific strategy for Dallas to avoid second-quarter meltdowns.

Mahomes is Worth Everything
Patrick Mahomes threw three interceptions against the Broncos and still looked like the best player on the planet. The Chiefs jumped out to a 27-0 lead, let Denver back in it, and then Mahomes just decided he’d had enough and closed it out with a shovel pass to Jerick McKinnon that defied physics.

We wrapped things up with some tough conversations about Mike Tomlin’s future in Pittsburgh and the Seahawks losing the "dead dog game" for Turf. It’s a six-team race for the Lombardi Trophy according to Big Cat, and the rest of the league is just playing for second.
