Never name a dog after a sports figure who hasn't already secured a Hall of Fame legacy

Never name your dogs after sports figures that aren't Hall of Famers... maybe don't name him after a player unless he's been at least two or three All-Star games. That's a good little rule of thumb.

This is subjective life/pet-ownership advice.

The Squatty Potty is the medically superior way to defecate because of human evolution

I got it, bro. I got it. Okay. This is not a plug, but a Squatty potty... We sit regular, right? And that messes up our bowel movements. Right? So if he's leaning for a while... it could be coming out the wrong angle, but the Squatty potty lifts your knees to your chest. And the angles is downward. That's how we evolved to actually defecate.

Medical research generally supports that squatting straightens the anorectal angle, aiding bowel movements.

Michael Jordan was suspended for gambling in 1993 and the league kept it under wraps

The reason why he retired originally in 93 was because he got suspended for gambling... I heard how this conspiracy goes is that they actually suspended him, but they just kept it under wraps because it would have been bad for the league.

This is a historical conspiracy theory that has never been verified and was denied by Michael Jordan and David Stern.

The NFL's statement on George Floyd is only being made because it's now 'safe'

The NFL has a track record of being reactionary rather than proactive. And this is exactly what they're doing right now... They're saying it because it's safe to do so now... If you're really with it, then condemn the ownership that has blackball cap, condemn the ownership that has funded and backed publicly a man that is calling the same protesters thugs.

This is a subjective critique of institutional motivation and corporate public relations.

White privilege is not something to feel guilty about, but something that requires empathy

I shouldn't have to feel guilty about being white. I agree. You're conflating guilt with empathy. That's all it is. Saying, I see black people struggling or I see the plight against a people of color is not the same as saying it's wrong for me to be white in this country. Nobody's saying that.

This is a philosophical and social perspective on empathy and race.

The NFL has the weakest union and contracts because players don't view themselves as businessmen

I think the big issue with people in the NFL in general is that they don't view themselves and we don't view each other as businessmen. And the NFL doesn't view us like businessmen. I think this is why the NFL has the weakest union and the weakest contracts of all major sports is because of how we're viewed and how we view ourselves.

Subjective assessment of union strength, though widely agreed upon by sports labor experts that the NFLPA has historically had less leverage than the NBPA or MLBPA.

Thursday Night Football is terrible for players in the trenches

I do not take that back, man. It might feel good in the moment, but that Friday, for the people in the trenches—I can't really talk about the corners and the receivers and the quarterbacks—but for the people in the trenches, everybody hurts the next day, man. 1,000% [advantage for the home team] because you don't get a chance to practice.

Widely corroborated by other players, though the league maintains injury rates aren't significantly higher on Thursdays.

Television as a medium is dying

Yeah, that's the problem they're having is TV's dying. Right. Nobody watches TV anymore. It is, but it isn't. It's dying.

Cable viewership has seen a massive decline since 2018 in favor of streaming and digital media.

I will highly suggest my kids do not play football because it is an extremely dangerous sport

Not a chance. No, no, no way, man... I'm just going to highly suggest that they don't... There's no point for you to do so... This is a, it's an extremely dangerous sport... I took all those hits. I sacrificed. I may develop CTE in my life. There's no telling.

This is a personal parenting philosophy based on documented medical risks.

Football will be in danger of disappearing in 50 to 60 years due to safety and science

I would say like 50, 60 years down the road [football is in danger], because if you look at the science and getting more and more clear on it, that this is a, it's an extremely dangerous sport... And the reason why we fell in love with football was because it was very violent in nature. And you love those big hits. And the science keeps coming, and the rules keep digressing.

The resolution of this prediction is decades away.

The NCAA system for athletes is a form of indentured servitude

No, that's indentured servitude. If you go to Google, just look up indentured servitude and you'll find that exact definition... The NCAA is the only establishment where their interns are their product. It's the most ridiculous, backwards, twisted system of in existence.

The NCAA has since moved toward NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) compensation, validating the spirit of the argument that the previous system was unfair.

Matt Schaub was a good quarterback whose career was ruined by a loss of confidence

Matt Schaub is definitely number one [on the Mount Rushmore of Texans QBs]... No, he was a good quarterback. He had a bad season. And I think it ruined his confidence, but he was a good quarterback when he was balling. He had a bad run.

Schaub was a two-time Pro Bowler before his 2013 collapse, supporting Foster's claim that he was once good.

Russell Wilson is lying when he claims God speaks to him directly

Are you saying that when Russell Wilson says that... God spoke to him as he was walking to the sidelines... you don't think that that was actually God talking to him? You're calling him a liar? [Foster]: Yeah, I am, actually. I don't think that we have an intervening divine presence in our universe at this moment... I don't believe your claim.

Claims of divine communication are inherently unverifiable and a matter of faith.

Wolves are not as tough as people make them out to be

I don't think wolves are as tough as we make them out to be. I think we just built up this prestige of them in our heads.

While wolves are dangerous predators, Foster's claim is about their 'prestige' vs reality. However, biologically, a lone human vs a wolf is usually weighted in the wolf's favor.

Joel Osteen manipulates people by 'selling hope'

I've read my fair share of the Bible, man, and Jesus specifically preached about being rich... It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom... You have private jets. You have, like, a mansion. Like, that's not the life that Jesus taught... you are selling hope. And I feel like any time you sell hope, you're manipulating people.

The conflict between biblical humility and the wealth of televangelists is a long-standing theological and social debate.
