Ben Johnson's 'psychopath' leadership is exactly what the Bears needed to change their culture

Everything this guy [Ben Johnson] does is so insane that it's authentic... next door neighbors to insanity. But the good kind of neighbor to insanity... in order to get that stench out of the building... you need a psychopath dude. And they've got one.

This is a subjective assessment of a coach's leadership style and cultural impact.

The Pirates leaking interest in Kyle Schwarber is just 'red meat' to appease the fans with no intent to sign him

I feel like the Pirates' version of them actually signing a big free agent would be just leaking it that they're thinking about signing. Correct. That was... their red meat to the fan base. Be like, look, we tried.

The take is confirmed if Schwarber signs elsewhere and the Pirates' 'interest' never materializes into an offer.

Drake May will throw for over 300 yards for the first time this weekend against the Bengals

This is my prop of a lifetime this weekend. It's Drake May to throw 300 yards for the first time plus 264. I put it in before the show started. I feel like this is the week... the Bengals defense, you can't help but throw 300 yards against them.

Cannot verify Drake Maye's exact passing yards in the specific Week 12 game vs Bengals. Maye had 4,394 yards total for the season across 17 games.

The Chiefs' 18% success rate in clutch situations is the worst of any NFL team in the last decade

If you make the criteria that if it's within eight points... in the final five minutes of regulation... the Chiefs... success rate is, I believe [Mahomes] is two for 10... That means they have an 18% success rate in those clutch situation plays. 18% would be the absolute lowest of any NFL team over the last eight years... the worst mark of any team in the last decade per the Athletic.

This is a statistical claim based on data available at the time of the recording.

The Broncos' wide defensive line alignment gives Josh Allen a free pass to scramble up the middle.

They line up super, super wide and when you line up super wide... it gives Josh Allen free reign to look at the guards, look at the center, figure out where he is gonna go... Josh is a guy who can drop back in a non non scheme anything and just be like, oh, the ends are by me. I'm gonna take what's given to me.

This is a tactical observation about defensive alignment giving Josh Allen scramble lanes. It is a schematic analysis that cannot be objectively resolved.

Offensive line sacks should be timed; after 5 seconds, it's the quarterback's fault

I think after five seconds it should be considered a tackle for loss [instead of a sack]... these dbs are supposed to cover for 10 seconds. That shouldn't be a completion against me.

This is a proposed rule/stat change, not a verifiable fact.

Sam Howell's historically high sack numbers are due to him not throwing the ball rather than bad offensive line play

The Washington commanders, they are top five in the NFL with time before pressure. Right. Which tells me that Sam Howell is just not fucking throwing the ball.

Next Gen Stats confirmed Howell had some of the longest 'time to throw' and 'time to sack' metrics in the league, supporting the claim that he held the ball too long.
