Philip Rivers would have won the Super Bowl if he started for the 49ers last season

Kyle Shanahan's plan that he had in place. If the 49ers had made the Super Bowl and Brock Purdy was injured, Philip Rivers was going to start the Super Bowl. ... He probably would've won. ... It would've been the very best thing to ever happen to the NFL. ... We would've had to go to the Super Bowl and root for the Niners and wear Phil Rivers Niners jerseys.

This is a hypothetical 'what if' that cannot be proven, though Rivers starting a Super Bowl without playing all season would have been a historic longshot.

Aaron Rodgers is coaching the Jets, not Robert Saleh

I walked away from this Hard Knocks episode two, asking myself a simple question. Who's the coach of the Jets? Is it Robert Saleh... or is it Aaron Rodgers? ... Robert Saleh turned to Aaron Rodgers and he said, we gotta get them right for you, buddy. And I said, huh, that's weird. Tail wagging the dog. That feels like Aaron Rodgers is coaching this team. Not Robert Saleh.

The power dynamic in New York remained a major storyline throughout the season, especially as the offense struggled following Rodgers' injury, though Saleh remained the head coach on paper.

Will McDonald will win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year

The Hard Knocks effect is in full swing on me for Will McDonald. Defensive Rookie of the Year. ... The defense is gonna be a problem.

Will McDonald did not win Defensive Rookie of the Year; the award was won by Will Anderson Jr. of the Texans.

Ezekiel Elliott will score two touchdowns against the Cowboys in Week 4

Jake, September 30th. Reminder bet. Ezekiel Elliott. ... Bet Ezekiel Elliott. Two touchdowns on that Sunday's game. It's the Patriots versus Cowboys. You know, Bill Belichick will do that for you. He absolutely will try to stick it to him.

The Patriots played the Cowboys on October 1, 2023. Ezekiel Elliott did not score any touchdowns in that game; the Patriots were blown out 38-3.

Arm length doesn't matter for a tackle as long as the quarterback doesn't have tiny hands

Arm length doesn't always dictate everything. If you have a guy that's got short arms that's playing tackle, it's not the end of the world unless maybe you also have a quarterback with tiny hands, in which case it's like synergy factors. Right. Where if the guy with short arms can't block the guy and then the guy with tiny hands gets hit, more likely to fumble.

Whether specific arm length correlates to fumbles based on QB hand size is largely theoretical and difficult to prove or disprove.

You should never order appetizers at a steakhouse to maximize your sides

I'm of the mindset now that you don't need any appetizers at steakhouses. It's, it's a good place to run Zero apps... You don't need the calamari at a steakhouse... The sides at a steakhouse are elite. The mashed potatoes are always elite... mac and cheese always elite at a steakhouse, you wanna maximize your sides to go with a steak.

This is entirely a matter of personal dining preference.

Trent Williams is the rare offensive lineman who is actually fun to watch play

Trent Williams is a joy to have on your team. He's just a fucking bully. He's also the rare offensive lineman where you have fun watching him play. Like after the ball was snapped, my eyes would just go to Trent Williams because it's like this guy, we might throw an interception, but Trent Williams might punch a guy in the throat.

This is a subjective opinion about entertainment value.
