Having a third child is the moment where you officially have to give up on all your 'fringe' enjoyable activities or time-wasting

The third kid is where you really put some of your fringe enjoyable activities in the casket. You don't realize it, but all the little shit that you used to do to waste time, you just don't waste any more time. There's no more time to waste.

This is a personal observation about lifestyle changes in parenting.

Every January 22nd, all NBA teams should be required to try and break the single-game scoring record in honor of Kobe Bryant's 81-point game

Darren Rovell actually had a great idea that on February or January 22nd, every single year, the day that Kobe dropped 81 on the Raptors, every team should have to try to break the record. I like that idea. That's good.

This is a whimsical suggestion for a league rule change, making it inherently subjective.

James Harden will try to score 60 points in his next game to answer Joel Embiid

I'm gonna bet on James Harden in his next game to go out there and try to score like 55, 60 points. Yeah. I feel like he's got something to prove. He's got an answer for it.

Harden scored 22 points on 5-of-14 shooting against the Raptors on January 26, 2024, the game following this take.

Joel Embiid will not win MVP this year because he'll miss too many games

He probably won't be able to win MVP 'cause he's gonna miss too many games this year. He's already missed 11 outta 40... it will be very funny if Joel has like an even better year than last year. But because he plays like 64 games instead of 65, that'll be the quickest that everyone will turn on a rule.

Embiid missed significant time due to a knee injury and finished the season with only 39 games played, disqualifying him from MVP consideration.

I would draft a generational cornerback over a generational pass rusher

If I had an opportunity at, you know, like a generational pass rusher with nobody behind them or a generational corner with decent rushers up front. I'm taking the generational corner... you cannot manufacture coverage. You can manufacture pass rush.

Positional value is a core debate in NFL scouting and cannot be definitively proven either way.

Caleb Williams is the most talented quarterback in the NFC North

I, I don't think it's unreasonable to say [Caleb Williams] is the most talented quarterback in the division... he's got a different kind of talent like the extension of plays, the throwing off tar off platform. Like that's big in today's NFL.

The relative talent of QBs in a division is a matter of long-term subjective debate.

The Ravens will roll over the Vikings because Lamar Jackson is too difficult to blitz

I really like the Ravens. I think the Ravens roll this week. You can't blitz Lamar and Brian Flores likes to blitz. I think this team knows that they have no margin for error.

Chris Long predicted the Ravens would roll over the Vikings in Week 10. The Ravens won 27-19, a comfortable 8-point victory as Long predicted.
