The Packers will win the NFC behind a dominant defense

The Packers are gonna win it [the NFC] in my mind. And not because of their offense this time around, I think their defense is a chance to be nasty. I mean that secondary might be the... best secondary in the league... Rogers will get it going. So they're gonna be really good.

The Packers went 8-9 and missed the playoffs entirely, while the Eagles won the NFC.

I will watch the in-season Hard Knocks in April because I already have in-season football content now

I'll probably watch the in season Hard Knocks in like maybe April after the NCAA tournament. That's when I'll go back and I'll rewatch the football content. But now like I have in season Hard Knocks already, it's called NFL football.

The Cardinals in-season Hard Knocks did air in late 2022. Whether PFT actually waited until April to watch is subjective/unverifiable, but the sentiment about redundancy is a common media take.

Serena Williams will play in a tennis tournament again despite her 'retirement'

She will play again... I should try to get a bet on the Barstool Sportsbook. Will Serena ever play in a tournament again? Cuz I feel like you win a lot of money.

As of late 2024, Serena Williams has not officially played in another professional tournament, though she has teased it frequently.

Coach Orgeron is the most well-adjusted human being out of all major college coaches

I think Coach O is actually the most well-adjusted human being out of all the major college coaches. Most normal people, you give anybody 20 million and you don't have to work again, that's the goal. That is actually a very well adjusted outlook on life, unlike just about every other head coach out there.

Subjective opinion on Orgeron's state of mind following his departure from LSU.

The Bears are still a year away from being real contenders

I'm a little more realistic because I look at the schedule and see, you know, that they really have what—they played one team with a winning record and lost to 'em. I'm a little apprehensive... I just don't think this is their year. I think they're a year away.

The Bears went 11-6, won the NFC North, and won a playoff game. They were NOT a year away - they were contenders this year.

Sam Darnold will eventually revert to his old, mistake-prone self because 'you are what you are'

Usually this league you are what you are. You're gonna have moments where you're up here... and moments when you're down here... eventually you're in the middle and that's who you are... [Sam Darnold] looked frazzled [last week] and that can't happen. It just can't happen in the big games... there's a Sam Darnold problem at least in my mind.

The take is a subjective long-term outlook on a player's career trajectory.

The 7-4 Chargers will miss the playoffs

They're not making the playoffs... and it's gonna come down to that Chiefs Chargers game and I think the Chiefs will beat 'em. They're seven and four, but if you look at their schedule, it's brutal. And that offensive line is horrible. Yanked [Penning] out of the game. It's a terrible offensive line.

Pete Prisco predicted the 7-4 Chargers would miss the playoffs. The Chargers finished 11-6 and made the playoffs as a Wild Card team, losing to the Patriots 16-3 in the first round.
