The Dolphins' roster is being picked to shreds due to Tua Tagovailoa's upcoming contract

That team has been picked to shreds in large part because they're in cap [trouble], but they're also readying to pay their quarterback. It's one of those guys, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't... I don't know if [Tua] takes you where Mahomes and Allen do.

The Dolphins did indeed lose several key starters in 2024 free agency (Christian Wilkins, Robert Hunt) and subsequently signed Tua to a massive extension.

The Browns signed Jameis Winston so Joe Flacco's popularity wouldn't overshadow Deshaun Watson

I think they brought in Jameis because they could have resigned Joe Flacco. I think Flacco was too popular... maybe some of Jameis Winston's leadership qualities will motivate Deshaun Watson to be a better human being.

OpinionFootballHotSarcastic
While the motive is speculative, the Browns did let Flacco walk and signed Winston, making the literal roster move correct.

Kirk Cousins is the GOAT of maximizing NFL contracts and free agency earnings

Incredible. I mean like whatever you wanna say about Kirk Cousins a quarterback. He has played every single thing right when it comes to free agency and the teams he picked. He's probably gonna eclipse 400 million over the course of his career. It's crazy.

Cousins did sign a massive deal with the Falcons (180M, 100M guaranteed) in 2024, continuing his streak of huge contracts.

Tiki Barber is a loser for calling Saquon Barkley 'dead' to him for joining the Eagles

Tiki Barber, you're a loser dude. Dead to me. You are a loser. Some people, particularly radio personalities who will remain nameless, criticize [Tiki] for having a vision or a dream. Also, Tiki Barber... when we talks about like loyalty, you're not the guy to talk about loyalty. That was a crazy reaction by him.

This is a subjective moral/personality judgment, though fans widely sided with Saquon over Tiki.

The Bears are still a year away from being real contenders

I'm a little more realistic because I look at the schedule and see, you know, that they really have what—they played one team with a winning record and lost to 'em. I'm a little apprehensive... I just don't think this is their year. I think they're a year away.

The Bears went 11-6, won the NFC North, and won a playoff game. They were NOT a year away - they were contenders this year.

Sam Darnold will eventually revert to his old, mistake-prone self because 'you are what you are'

Usually this league you are what you are. You're gonna have moments where you're up here... and moments when you're down here... eventually you're in the middle and that's who you are... [Sam Darnold] looked frazzled [last week] and that can't happen. It just can't happen in the big games... there's a Sam Darnold problem at least in my mind.

The take is a subjective long-term outlook on a player's career trajectory.

The 7-4 Chargers will miss the playoffs

They're not making the playoffs... and it's gonna come down to that Chiefs Chargers game and I think the Chiefs will beat 'em. They're seven and four, but if you look at their schedule, it's brutal. And that offensive line is horrible. Yanked [Penning] out of the game. It's a terrible offensive line.

Pete Prisco predicted the 7-4 Chargers would miss the playoffs. The Chargers finished 11-6 and made the playoffs as a Wild Card team, losing to the Patriots 16-3 in the first round.
