There are six or seven definitively good teams in the NFL right now

I like how everyone's like there's parity. There's no one [good]—I totally disagree. There are like probably six or seven teams that are definitively good. It's the Cowboys, the Bucs, the Packers, the Chiefs, the Patriots, and then throw in the Colts... maybe even the Rams.

The Rams won the Super Bowl and most teams on this list were top seeds, though the Colts and Patriots fell short of being 'definitively good' by season's end.

Jalen Hurts is not a long-term solution at quarterback for the Eagles

[Jalen Hurts] is gonna make some really good plays with his legs... and he shows he's shown us that he does that consistently. But I mean, I just don't think that's like a long lasting plan.

Hurts led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII, finished 2nd in MVP voting, and signed a massive long-term extension, proving he was the solution.

The future of the Washington Football Team is on an upward trajectory under Ron Rivera

The future of the organization is looking at an upward trajectory for Washington. I believe in Ron Rivera. I mean, he did it, he had the Carolina Panthers, you know, a pretty good football team for a long time.

Rivera was unable to sustain success in Washington and was eventually fired in January 2024.

Wide receivers are transitioning from college to the NFL at a higher rate than ever before

I think that receivers are actually transitioning at a higher rate in these last five, six years than they have ever before... a lot of these guys, there's so much more information now for younger players on how to train, what kind of drills to train.

The recent explosion of rookie WR production (Jefferson, Chase, Puka Nacua) validates this observation.

Miami of Ohio 100% deserves to be in the NCAA Tournament despite their first-round loss

I think a hundred percent they should be in. We need to just focus on the fact that there, I believe 31 and one and not do anything about strength of schedule. If you're able to go an entire season without losing a game that's hard to just wake up every day and not stumble once. I wanna see what happens when they play their first quad win one game in the middle of March.

This is part of the satirical 'Future' bit; Miami of Ohio was not 31-1 in 2026 (or 2024).

Conference tournaments are bad for top teams because they don't improve your seeding and lead to unnecessary fatigue

I'm kind of done with the conference tournaments. Like they just fuck you. It doesn't make your seed better and you end up being more tired today. If you have to play four games, you're just gonna get screwed.

The value of conference tournaments for high-seeded teams is a perennial debate in sports media.

Kyler Murray will be the next Sam Darnold now that he's with the Vikings

Kyler Murray is a Viking. We all kind of expected it. It happened. He's going to be the next Sam Darnold. The NFC North now has three number one picks at quarterback with Kyler Murray, Caleb Williams, Jared Goff. Kind of cool.

Kyler Murray did not sign with the Vikings; this is part of the episode bit.
