The Mayweather-McGregor fight is a lifeline for the sport of boxing

I think boxing, in some respect, should be thankful to Conor McGregor because boxing hasn't been the biggest story in sports, certainly since Mayweather Pacquiao. ... So I think in some respects, this is a lifeline for boxing.

The fight was one of the highest-selling PPVs ever, though boxing's survival being dependent on it is an opinion.

LeBron James is only defending jersey burning to protect his future self for when he leaves Cleveland again

LeBron's statements are right. I'm always a players guy. The owners don't look out for the players. But this, to me, is classic LeBron looking out for future LeBron. Because he knows he's going to leave.

LeBron James did indeed leave the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018 for the Los Angeles Lakers, proving Big Cat's prediction about him leaving right.

It is only socially acceptable to burn LeBron James' jersey

Any player that is a traitor to the town that he was born in and then leaves twice. That's fair. So LeBron James. It is now socially acceptable only to burn LeBron James' jersey.

Social acceptability is subjective, but the take is delivered as a joke regarding LeBron's unique status.

Brawls are necessary for people to care about baseball

Brawling in baseball is good for baseball. It's great for baseball. ... Brawls need to happen in baseball for people to care about baseball more than they do right now.

The impact of brawls on viewership or 'caring' is subjective, though brawls certainly generate viral engagement.

Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira could be one of the greatest fights ever if Adesanya is aggressive

Israel Adesanya... has never lost at 185 pounds, but as a kickboxer he lost twice to this man [Alex Pereira] and once was knocked out rather violently. ... If he approaches this with a more aggressive tenor, this could be one of the greatest fights of all time.

The fight was highly acclaimed and ended in a dramatic 5th round TKO for Pereira, largely fulfilling the hype.

Mac Jones is definitively not the guy to lead the Patriots long-term

I would put a tattoo bet on it right now that [Mac Jones] is not gonna realize anything resembling long-term NFL success. ... everybody locally in Boston understands that he has a C arm at best. Like he's a good leader of men... but that only goes so far.

Mac Jones was benched in 2023 and traded to the Jaguars in 2024 to be a backup, confirming he was not the long-term solution in New England.

Lamar Jackson is better than Michael Vick

I don't need Michael Vick to tell me that this dude [Lamar Jackson] is gonna be better than Michael Vick. And was there no room for improvement for Lamar once he got to the league? Like how did so many teams fucking miss on that?

Lamar Jackson has since won a second MVP (2023), further strengthening the argument that he has a more decorated career than Vick.
