Attending an Ivy League school like Princeton hurts a player's NFL draft stock

I think [going to Princeton] hurts. In fact, we had another guy my year at Princeton that got drafted. Ryan Grigson... said, 'I'll never make that mistake again.' You know, I just didn't believe that Princeton could have two dudes the same year. And the other guy was like a total freak show... they didn't even look at me because of that.

This is a subjective observation from a former player, though undrafted Ivy Leaguers succeeding is rare, supporting his claim of being overlooked.

Phil Jackson's master plan was to get paid for screwing up the Knicks

Phil's master plan was to get paid for screwing up a franchise and he's getting paid. He's just like [fucking] the ground, having a good time, getting paid for it. He played James Dolan like a fiddle.

Jackson was fired with two years left on his $60 million contract, effectively getting paid a massive sum not to work for the team.

Chris Paul hated Doc Rivers because of the preferential treatment given to Austin Rivers

Chris Paul hated Doc Rivers ever since he brought Austin Rivers on and basically didn't yell at Austin Rivers and treated him exactly like his child.

Reports at the time from ESPN and others heavily suggested that the relationship between CP3 and Doc soured due to Doc's handling of his son Austin.

James Harden and Chris Paul will be fighting over the ball within two months

I give that about two months before we get James Harden doing something weird and being like, 'hey, I need the ball.' And Chris Paul's like, 'well, I'm the point guard and I need the ball.'

The Harden/Paul pairing was incredibly successful in its first year (2017-18), finishing with the NBA's best record. While they eventually clashed in 2019, Big Cat's two-month window for conflict was way off.

Josh Rosen's concussion history is a major red flag for NFL teams

My biggest concern with Josh Rosen is – He had two concussions last year where he missed games, right? ... What we know about brain injuries now— If that guy, after he gets drafted third by the Jets, let's say, and it's $30 million guaranteed ... if he gets a concussion in September... I would be – there's a big risk there.

While Rosen's career was derailed by poor situations and talent, his concussion history remained a frequent talking point among scouts throughout his draft process.

Quentin Nelson is the best player in the 2018 NFL Draft

I think the best player in the draft is Quentin Nelson, but I'm a biased O-line lover. ... He's a guy at night before I go to bed, I might put on some Quentin Nelson highlights just to watch him.

Quentin Nelson became an immediate All-Pro and is widely considered one of the best draft picks of that era.

Josh Rosen will fall further in the draft than people think

I'm going to go with Rosen to fall. Really? I think Darnold goes one. I think maybe some Barkley or a quarterback at two. I think Mayfield at three. I think [Rosen] ends up falling faster than people think.

Rosen fell to #10 (Arizona Cardinals) while other QBs like Mayfield (#1), Darnold (#3), and Allen (#7) went before him.
