Based on Week 10 results, Michigan should be the #2 team in the country

If you want to go just from week 10 results, Michigan should be the number two team in the country because they actually handled their business against Indiana, and Indiana never was in that game.

At the time, Michigan had already lost to Michigan State, making them a one-loss team while others were undefeated. They were not ranked #2 until much later in the season.

I think fans can convince Coach K to come back for another year

I think that if we all bond together as fans, we can convince Coach K to come back after this year is over.

Coach K did indeed retire after the 2021-2022 season following Duke's loss in the Final Four.

We are officially flipping the switch and betting overs in the NBA

The story's gotten too big now. It's gotten too national. So now I'm officially acknowledging we're flipping the switch. We're betting overs in the NBA now. Because too many people are getting – once NPR does a story about a trend in basketball, you can be sure that they're the last ones... So now we're betting overs officially.

While NBA scoring fluctuated, betting overs generally became more viable as the season progressed and offensive efficiencies normalized to the new Wilson ball.

Justin Fields is the real deal

I've never walked out of a game, out of a loss, happier because Justin Fields is the real deal. That's all I took away from that game.

This is subjective but historically interesting; Fields showed flashes but was ultimately traded by the Bears in 2024, showing he wasn't the long-term 'real deal' for them.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
