Bill Belichick is officially on the hot seat with the New England Patriots

My Hot Seat is Bill Belichick. Literally. There's a report out... from Tom Curran... he said 'You talk about avoiding the Hot Seat Rich, he's on the Hot Seat and he's been there at different levels of warmth since 2019.'

This was shockingly prescient; Belichick was indeed let go following the 2023 season, confirming the seat was hot.

Running backs should not be eligible for the NFL Draft and should be free agents immediately

Running Backs should not be eligible to be drafted. Make them, let them be free agents. Because it is just a matter of fact that running Backs, they wear down faster. That's just the nature of the position. Why don't we let running Backs just be free agents right away?

This is a subjective labor proposal that hasn't been implemented, though the RB value debate remains a major NFL talking point.

The NFL should remove the franchise tag for the running back position

It would probably be a little bit easier if there was just no franchise tag for running back. You can use it on anybody else... but if there's a running back, you can't tag 'em. So they play their first contract, then there will be an actual bidding war for their services.

The franchise tag still exists for all positions in the current CBA.

Shohei Ohtani's viral bat flip against the Yankees was awkward and forced

I'll stand by this take. I didn't think it was a good flip. He looked awkward. It looked like an awkward bat flip. Everyone was freaking out about it. I thought he looked awkward. It didn't look natural. It looked like he forced that bat flip.

Aesthetics are subjective, though the rest of the room strongly disagrees.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
