Caleb Williams will benefit from the offensive players' intervention with Shane Waldron

Apparently during the week, players had a basically intervention with Shane Waldron and said, you have to be more aggressive. Caleb Williams, Marcedes Lewis, I think Cole Kmet was there. ... He's learning from his mistakes. ... I was just happy. It was fun watching the Bears win at home.

The intervention didn't last; Shane Waldron was eventually fired mid-season as the offense continued to struggle.

The Ravens are all the way back after dominating the Bills

Looks like the Ravens are all the way back. ... The Ravens ascending back to what we expected preseason after an 0-2 start. ... It's just something about it [the all-black uniforms]. It adds like five points of strength to every player.

The Ravens finished 13-4 and secured the #1 seed in the AFC, proving they were indeed 'back' to elite status.

Derrick Henry is no longer a 'fat ass' and is back to his dominant self

Also Lamar Jackson is good now. He's no longer a fat ass. ... And yeah, Derrick Henry is, I mean he's 87-yard touchdown. I did not think Big D had an 87-yard touchdown still in his bag.

Derrick Henry went on to lead the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns in 2024.

I am now officially ready to take the Vikings for real

I am now officially ready to take the Vikings for real. I needed this win for them to take them fully for real. And Sam Darnold, maybe he is just different now.

The Vikings finished the season 12-5 and made the playoffs, proving they were indeed 'for real' despite preseason expectations.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
