If the US Women's National Team had any pride, they would rescind their invitation to advance in the World Cup

If they had any pride, they would rescind their advancement. If they win the [World Cup] with two ties, if they had any dignity whatsoever... I'm disappointed.

The USWNT did not rescind their advancement; they played in the knockout round and were eliminated by Sweden.

The Mets will be World Series Champions in 2026

The team is not going to be pursuing free agents this off season or assembled team that can compete for World Series next year... 24 is looking to be more of a kind of transitory year... Definitely Mets all in '26. Remember this Uncle Stevie on this, on this podcast with the first report, Mets World Series Champions 2026.

The Mets have not yet won the 2026 World Series as the date has not arrived.

The Mets will not contend for a decade

I also have a report from someone inside the Mets organization who contacted me and said... I'll never see a Mets playoff game won't contend for, for a decade.

This is a hyperbolic claim about a decade-long drought, but the Mets missed the playoffs in 2023 and 2024.

Steve Cohen will buy his way back into contention this offseason

Uncle Stevie... after hearing that report, I was in the party like, sell everybody. Just buy everybody the next year. Like what's the point of being a rich guy if can't just buy people... he's gonna buy some people. Let's get [Ohtani]. Even though He is not a free agent.

The Mets did not buy Ohtani (he went to the Dodgers), and they had a relatively quiet offseason following their sell-off.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
