It is not a 'sham' if Nikola Jokic wins a 3rd straight MVP without making the Conference Finals

Everyone's getting pre-mad right now about Jokic winning a third straight MVP... they're like, if he wins an MVP and they don't get at least the conference finals, this is a sham. Why? Again, it's a regular season award. Like that's just what it is.

Jokic didn't win a 3rd straight (Embiid won in 2023), but he did lead the Nuggets to a championship that year, rendering the 'playoff fraud' argument moot.

Aaron Rodgers will definitely continue playing football

Trying to figure out if he wants to keep playing football. Spoil alert he will. Yep. Wants to continue playing. Probably win an MVP.

Rodgers did continue playing, being traded to the Jets shortly after.

Aaron Rodgers will be phenomenal next season and probably win an MVP

I'm fully prepared for him to go back to the Packers and win an MVP. Yeah. Because it feels like this is just the cycle that we're in. And he's probably gonna be phenomenal next year.

Rodgers tore his Achilles four plays into the season and did not win MVP or play phenomenally.

The drama surrounding Brandon Miller will actually help his NBA draft stock

My other spin zone is I actually think this helps his draft stock. Think about all the attention he's getting. Everyone knows who he is and then after, you know, all eyes are on him, he drops 40.

Miller was drafted #2 overall, as high as most projected him before the incident, suggesting it didn't hurt and potentially highlighted his 'mental toughness' to scouts.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
