Nikola Jokic isn't 'trying' to not care; he's just being an honest guy who wants to see his horses

I don't think Jokic is doing, he's just being himself. It's not like he's going online being like, Ooh, am I getting points for not caring. Like he's just being an honest guy. The guy wants to see his horses. He's not doing this for some payoff where it's like he's gonna gain some points.

This is a subjective assessment of a player's personality and motivations.

Las Vegas residents should boycott Oakland Athletics games in solidarity with Oakland fans

If I lived in Las Vegas, I would not go to an Oakland Athletics game once they moved to town. I think Las Vegas needs to stand, or at least threatened to stand with Oakland fans. It just feels dirty. I would not be comfortable supporting that.

This is a prescriptive opinion on how fans should behave.

I'm betting Tennessee at 8-1 to win the College World Series

I'm thinking about driving over to New Jersey and betting the College World Series. I think I'm gonna go Ball for life and take Tennessee eight to one.

Tennessee did not win the 2023 College World Series; LSU defeated Florida in the finals to win the championship.

The losing team of Mount Rushmore season must do a 24-hour solitary confinement stream in a white padded room

The punishment that I am offering up for Mount Rushmore season is the losing team has to do a 24-hour stream in a white padded room. Solitary confinement. Obviously you're not solitary because you're with someone else. 24 hours. Nothing else in the room.

This punishment was eventually modified but served as the primary motivation for the season. The 'white padded room' concept was a major talking point.

The goal allowed by the US goalie was the most embarrassing possible

What about the goalie? Yeah, I mean he... that was the most embarrassing goal that I've ever seen. Possible.

While subjective, the blunder by the US goalkeeper (Freeze/Turner) was widely mocked as a 'MAC football' level mistake.

The USMNT is the 'James Franklin Penn State' of soccer

People were making very mean jokes online that we were James Franklin, Penn State. And it is actually perfectly appropriate because if you look at who we played, we beat the teams we're supposed to beat... and then we absolutely got ass fucked by the team that was better than us in Belgium. We are not who we thought we were.

Subjective comparison.

We just suck at soccer as a country and that's okay

My take is we suck at soccer and that's okay. Like, I don't care that we suck at soccer anymore. I'm going to root for the US team. I'm gonna get excited when we're in a World Cup. I'm gonna get hyped up and it's gonna be fun to watch. And then I'm gonna be reminded that we suck at soccer and that it's just gonna be like, okay, yeah, that's okay.

Subjective perspective on American soccer.
