Oregon will be back on top of college football in four years when Chip Kelly returns

I'm going to call my shot. I'm going to say Oregon's going to win. If we can do like four years to call who's back, in four years Oregon's going to be back to being back. ... When they get Chip Kelly back, right?

Chip Kelly became the head coach of UCLA in 2018, not Oregon. Oregon did eventually return to relevance under Mario Cristobal, but the Chip Kelly part was wrong.

The Alabama Crimson Tide could beat the Cleveland Browns

I think it's time to dust off the old could Alabama beat the Browns argument again. I love it. It's that time of year. I don't know. Alabama's looking good. They got an offense now.

The 2016 Browns went 1-15, but even the worst NFL team is virtually guaranteed to beat a college team due to depth and age.

Sam Bradford will eventually suck and prove me right for criticizing the trade

I'll be right in the long term on that one. Okay. How about that? ... But what I will say is that one day Sam Bradford's going to suck, and then I will be sure to let you know about it then.

Bradford's career was derailed by injuries and he never reached elite status, finishing with a mediocre win-loss record.

Tony Romo will break his back again within two weeks of returning

Tony Romo comes back. It's his job. He's going to break his back within a week or two again. Back Prescott. Yeah. That's what I call him. And then back to Dak. Back to Dak.

Romo never regained the starting job as Dak Prescott remained the starter; Romo retired at the end of the season without suffering another major on-field back injury that year.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
