Patrick Mahomes is basically lights out in the Divisional Round

He plays in this divisional round and he's basically just, he's, I mean he's undefeated. He lights out. That's just what happens. He is six and oh. He has 1,813 total yards, 16 touchdowns... zero interceptions.

Mahomes was 6-0 in divisional games prior to 2025. In the 2025 divisional round, the Chiefs beat the Texans, making him 7-0.

Divisional Round is the best sports weekend of the year

This is my favorite sports weekend of the year. Because in Wild Card weekend, sometimes you have, you get some lopsided matchups. Divisional round, you get the prestigious teams, you get the elite teams.

This is an inherently subjective opinion about personal preference.

Dion Sanders to the Cowboys would be an incredible story for the NFL

I want it because it would be just an incredible story for the NFL. Having Dion in the NFL, especially for the Dallas Cowboys, would be awesome. I wanna see Dion interacting with Jerry Jones... Dion will not be pushed around by Jerry Jones.

The entertainment value is subjective, though Dion did not become the head coach in early 2025.

The Jets will inevitably make the wrong choice for their next head coach even if the right candidate is obvious.

There was a report that Aaron Glenn [wants the Jets]. That's good. Jets fans want Aaron Glenn. Which means we're gonna make the wrong choice.

Memes (a Jets fan) predicted the Jets would make the wrong coaching choice even though Aaron Glenn wanted the job and fans wanted him. The Jets actually hired Aaron Glenn as head coach on January 22, 2025 — the candidate fans wanted. The Jets made what was considered the right choice.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
