Shohei Ohtani is the modern-day Babe Ruth

Shohei Ohtani is fucking electric. He throws one-on-one in the first inning, and then he hits a fucking ball... bomb in the bottom of the first... he's like the modern day Babe Ruth.

Ohtani went on to win the MVP in 2021, 2023, and 2024 (NL), solidifying himself as the undisputed greatest two-way player in history.

Gonzaga vs. UCLA was one of the best tournament games in history

This is sports rule because we have the national championship tonight in the Final Four on Saturday and one of the best basketball games, tournament games, we've watched in the history of the tournament. I'm fine with maybe being a little hyperbolic with that statement, that game fucking ruled.

The game is widely cited by sports media as one of the greatest Final Four games ever due to the Jalen Suggs buzzer-beater and the quality of play.

The Houston Cougars were never on the same level as the elite teams in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

Houston, nice run, gets to the Final Four, but kind of what we always thought in terms of the elite teams, that [Houston] wasn't on that level, and that's no shame to Houston.

Baylor defeated Houston 78-59 in the Final Four, supporting the claim that they were on a different level.

I am 'simp as fuck' for Miley Cyrus and her musical performance at the Final Four was incredible.

I am as simp as fuck for Miley Cyrus. If there's a scale of, like, one to infinity for my simp level for it... 90% of this is about the musical performance she put on and her song selection. Plus, when you come out there looking like Dog the Bounty Hunter mixed with Freddie Mercury mixed with Pamela Anderson from Barbed Wire, you're going to have my attention.

The quality of a musical performance is subjective.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
