The Golden Knights winning the Stanley Cup in six years cements hockey in the desert in a way the Coyotes never could.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights Stanley Cup champions. ... It's incredible. I mean, and to be in two Stanley Cup final in that time. ... What a way to cement hockey in the desert. And this is what the Coyotes never could do.

The Golden Knights won the Cup in their 6th season and have high attendance, while the Coyotes eventually relocated to Salt Lake City in 2024 after failing to secure a permanent home.

Nikola Jokic is the greatest value pick in NBA history

Jokic I think now goes down is the best value pick in NBA history without a doubt... he's a better value than all these [Steve Nash, Giannis] because he went 41st overall in the draft.

While value is subjective, Jokic is widely cited as the greatest draft steal in NBA history given he is the lowest-drafted player to win Finals MVP.

Michael Jordan was a better value pick at number three than Jokic was at 41

I still think Michael Jordan not being picked first overall and what he did becoming the best player of all time. That's a better value pick at three.

Subjective debate regarding the definition of 'value' in sports drafts.

The era of the NBA super team is officially dead

it's the official death of super teams as well. We declare that because... homegrown super teams don't play anymore. We had a decade of super teams. It's over.

The NBA has seen a period of parity following the 2023 season, though 'super teams' like the Suns still attempt to form.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
