The Saints are for real and will beat the Eagles because of the New Orleans defense

I believe in the Saints. I think the Saints are for real. I know they, one of their two games, half of their sample size is against the Panthers. But I still, I like the Saints. I think they're flying around on defense too. That's the part that's a little surprising to me.

The Eagles beat the Saints 15-12 in Week 3, halting the Saints' momentum and proving Big Cat's prediction wrong.

The Patriots' offensive line is currently worse than the Bears'

[The Patriots] looked horrible. Their offensive line like looked worse than the Bears. [Jacoby Brissett] never had more than one second to throw. They missed a ton of tackles on defense.

While both units were bottom-tier, the Patriots' line was statistically among the worst in terms of pressure rate allowed throughout the 2024 season.

Shohei Ohtani is the best baseball player of all time

I'd say that this, he is the best baseball player of all time. Whether or not he'll have the best career of all time is kind of up for grabs. But we've never seen anybody that's doing what he's doing.

This is inherently subjective, though Ohtani's 2024 season and dual-threat history make him a consensus top-tier candidate for the 'best ever' title.

NFL offenses are struggling because they are taking the bait on two-high safety looks

Everyone's blaming the two high safeties. And I actually read an article... essentially deep passes still work, but offenses are taking the bait with the two high safeties and just they're running the ball into light boxes and it's just not, it's not as effective... stop taking the bait.

The 'two-high' shell was a dominant talking point in 2024. Offensive production did eventually tick up as teams adapted, though passing yards remained historically low for much of the year.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
