The Seahawks will win this week because you don't lose an 'end of an era' game

The big thing with this game is it feels like everyone is writing off, not just the Seahawks but an era. So when you have an era ending, the Pete Carroll, the Russell Wilson era, I feels like you got to take the Seahawks because you don't lose end of an era games.

The Seahawks lost to the Cardinals 23-13 that Sunday.

I want to see Mac Jones face some adversity and struggle to see what kind of leader he is

I want to see him [Mac Jones] face some adversity, see how he does with that... I hope he doesn't [sprain his ankle], but you want to see the toughness of a guy. I want to see something go wrong. And I want to see the man he is in an adverse situation. That's when you see your best leaders.

Subjective opinion on player development and leadership evaluation.

Mac Jones plays 'on time' which is why he is a successful quarterback

He plays on time. Playing on time is like getting through your reads at the correct time... delivers a catchable football. His eyes are always in the right area. He's delivering the ball when he should deliver the ball... Those are 'playing on time' kind of moments.

Subjective evaluation of quarterback play style and timing.

Bill Belichick makes players change their glove color to match the opponent's jersey to hide holding penalties

[Bill Belichick] would always try to get me to change the color of my glove for blocking in the run game. Because if we were playing a team that had white and the referee, he said, 'the ref could see her goddamn glove on the backside of him. He's going to call holding every time.' So he would literally make like young players, like, 'Hey, you're wearing white today because we're playing against the white team.'

Direct anecdotal evidence from a long-time player under the coach.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
