The Steelers have the best three-deep quarterback room in the NFL

I actually think that if you were like, who's got the best three quarterbacks, I think the Steelers are the answer. Rudolph, Trubisky, and Pickett. Like I think if you had to go three deep, I think the Steelers are the answer.

While they had three 'starters' (all mediocre), Trubisky and Pickett both struggled significantly. Rudolph eventually saved their season in 2023, but collectively this room was considered bottom-tier in terms of winning ability despite the names.

Bet on rookie head coaches in the first week of the NFL preseason

Week one, it was pretty strong. You just bet on whatever coach, if it's a matchup between a rookie head coach and a coach that's been in the league before you bet on the rookie head coach to win. Because I think somewhere deep down, they would prefer to win their very first game that they play.

While not a hard rule, rookie coaches often play starters longer or try harder to get their first win in preseason. In 2022, many rookie head coaches (like Kevin O'Connell, Mike McDaniel) performed well in preseason debuts.

The Ravens are the best preseason football team ever

Bet on the Ravens because Ravens are the best team to ever play preseason football. They're incredible.

At the time, the Ravens had won 21 consecutive preseason games. The streak eventually reached 24 before ending in 2023.

Lamar Jackson's 18-pound muscle gain will make him slower

You see Lamar Jackson added 18 pounds of muscle... I feel like he's not gonna be as quick... He looks thicker. I just can't imagine gaining 18 pounds of muscle. Like you can't tell me he's going to be as fast. He has to lose at least a little bit of quickness.

Lamar Jackson remained one of the fastest players in the league and won another MVP in 2023. His quickness did not noticeably suffer from the bulk.

The Brewers' pressure created their 'lucky' breaks

That's not luck. That's just the Brewers and what they did to you mentally, where it's like you have to be perfect and almost made teams just become a worse version of themselves because of what the Brewers were doing to them.

This is an evaluative baseball argument rather than a claim with one definitive result.

The Bears are building around Jeffrey Simmons correctly

Jeffrey Simmons is an absolute game wrecker. Top three at his position, changes everyone around him. The Bears had a weakness in their defense, especially run defense. They made it a strength.

The assessment of Simmons' impact and positional ranking is partly subjective and will depend on his Chicago performance.
