There is no difference between what Steve Sarkisian has done at Texas and what Tom Herman did

There's no difference between what Sark has done so far at Texas and what Tom Herman had did. Actually, Tom Herman was better at this point. He beat more ranked teams, he went to a bowl.

Sarkisian eventually turned Texas around, making the CFP in 2023, surpassing Herman's peak. At the time of the take (2022), the stats were arguably in Herman's favor.

Taylor Heineke has officially ended Carson Wentz's time as the Commanders' starter

I'll tell you who's not back. Carson Wentz because this is Taylor Heineke's team right now. He's done.

Heineke remained the starter for most of the season until Wentz returned briefly at the end, but Wentz was indeed released after the season.

Losing the undefeated streak was the perfect outcome for the Eagles' season

I actually think that was the perfect way for the Eagles to get their first loss. Because you don't want to lose, but... they had a game that they basically had everything go wrong for them and still almost had a chance to win it at the end. Now you can just focus on cleaning up the things, the mistakes you made.

The Eagles finished 14-3 and made the Super Bowl, so the loss didn't derail their season and may have helped them refocus.

The Eagles are in big trouble defensively if Jordan Davis stays out

If Jordan Davis is out for the year, I'd be like, the Eagles are in big trouble because they can't, their defensive line has no bulk and they can't stop anyone.

Davis returned in Week 13. The Eagles' run defense struggled without him but improved upon his return and they signed veterans like Linval Joseph to address the bulk issue.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
