Trevor Lawrence is phenomenal but lacks consistency

Trevor Lawrence is phenomenal, but it doesn't feel consistent. And we saw that against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lawrence's 2023 season was marked by high variance and injuries, ending in the Jaguars missing the playoffs after an 8-3 start.

Brock Purdy is more than just a system quarterback

I still like Brock. I think he's better than just a system guy.

The take is subjective, but Purdy's continued success and MVP-caliber play in subsequent seasons lend weight to the idea that he is a high-level starter.

The Cowboys and 49ers might be the two best teams in the NFC

The Giants just had to play the Cowboys and the 49ers, which might be the two best teams in the NFC, might be the two best teams in the NFC.

The 49ers and Cowboys both finished as top seeds in the NFC (1 and 2), validating this assessment of the conference landscape.

The 49ers would win the Super Bowl if it were played today

If the Super Bowl were today, do you think that the 49ers would win it? Yes, I think so too. I think that they were the best team in the NFL today.

While the 49ers reached the Super Bowl, they did not win it (losing to the Chiefs). This take refers specifically to 'if it were played today' in Week 3.

The Brewers' pressure created their 'lucky' breaks

That's not luck. That's just the Brewers and what they did to you mentally, where it's like you have to be perfect and almost made teams just become a worse version of themselves because of what the Brewers were doing to them.

This is an evaluative baseball argument rather than a claim with one definitive result.

The Bears are building around Jeffrey Simmons correctly

Jeffrey Simmons is an absolute game wrecker. Top three at his position, changes everyone around him. The Bears had a weakness in their defense, especially run defense. They made it a strength.

The assessment of Simmons' impact and positional ranking is partly subjective and will depend on his Chicago performance.

Jeffrey Simmons makes the Bears Super Bowl contenders

I thought they could win the Super Bowl before Jeffrey Simmons. Now I really do.

The 2026 NFL season and Super Bowl outcome have not yet been resolved from the episode date.
