You must win a championship to be considered the face of the NBA

When has there ever been a face of a league that didn't win? Right. You have to win when it matters. You have to win a championship to be considered a face of this league. Agreed. It's not. And obviously if you win, that doesn't automatically mean you're the face of the league.

The definition of 'face of the league' is subjective but historically tracks with MVPs and champions.

Matthew Stafford staying with the Rams makes the most sense because they still have a Super Bowl window

Matthew Stafford staying in Los Angeles with the Rams... I always, always thought made the most sense because the Rams were, you could make the argument like they, they played the Eagles the toughest in, in the playoffs. It feels like they still have a window with Matthew Stafford. I think it's a two-year deal.

Stafford signed a 1-year extension in July 2024 to keep him under contract through 2026, though the 'two-year' phrasing here refers to the remaining window.

Aaron Rodgers will try to bring Davante Adams with him to the Raiders

Aaron Rogers will go. Raiders. I've heard that he's trying to bring Davante [Adams] with him again. So he has a wishlist. And I feel like if I were Aaron, I would just wanna stay in New York and just go to the other locker room.

Aaron Rodgers signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, not the Raiders. Adams was also not part of the Steelers' plans in this scenario.

The Commanders fleeced the 49ers in the Deebo Samuel trade

I was pumped about the Deebo News... Deebo is very fun to watch when he's in good shape. Fifth round pick? Fleeced.

Whether it was a 'fleece' depends on Deebo's performance in Washington vs. what San Francisco does with the pick.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
