He woke up every day in January convinced he was going to be fired

When we were that, that stretch in January where we weren't playing well, I was woke up every day and told myself I'm getting fired if we don't turn. I'm, I'm, I'm done... and I would tell the staff too, I'm like, guys, we're done. Like, you know, we don't figure this thing out, you know, like we, we just, we don't deserve to coach here.

Self-reported psychological state.

John Morant will be ready to start next season despite his ankle injury

I thought he was done for like the entire off season. I thought that it was like ja morant questionable for starting of next year when he came down on his ankle... But then he is like, you know what, fuck it, I'm gonna go back in. [He'll] be fine.

Ja Morant was ready for the start of the 2024-25 season.

Zach Edey needs to stop bringing the ball down on rebounds to avoid being stripped

somebody needs to pull him aside and be like, youngster, you need to quit taking the ball down on rebounds. Yeah. You put that ball up higher, you're taller than everybody else. 'Cause he's addicted to it. He does it every single time to get stripped.

This is a fundamental basketball technique critique that remains subjective based on Edey's future turnover rates on rebounds.

NBA divisions are completely useless and should be abolished

Divisions in the NBA are, there's literally no reason for 'em. It's meeting, there's... Just get rid of them. Get rid of them. So stupid. No one cares about the divisions.

While they exist, their functional impact on seeding was largely removed in 2015.

Getting choked out in Jiu-Jitsu is the best simulation for the NBA playoffs

I got choked out twice yesterday morning before the game... To me it's the best simulation of the playoffs is everybody always focuses on like the goal, the, the journey and, and going after success. But when you wanna go after something, if you're not aware and can't surrender to the fact that you could fail at it, then I don't, I don't think you're really on the journey.

This is an internal philosophical approach to coaching that can't be proven right or wrong, but it characterizes his successful coaching style.

Jaylen Brown turning himself into a 'weapon' mentally drove the Celtics this season

He is a weapon. He is a hundred percent a weapon mentally, psychologically, like he can change an entire building. And I think a lot of what we've done up until this point was like his decision to turn himself into a weapon heading into the season. And I think we were able to all leverage that.

Subjective assessment of Jaylen Brown's impact on the 2025-26 Celtics season - can't be definitively verified though the Celtics did perform well without Tatum early in the year.

In war, there are no fouls; you either die or you don't

Sam Hauser said that your quote is, there's no fouls in, in a war. You either die or you don't. So you can't actually, you actually can't complain about fouls for the entire playoffs.

This is a motivational mantra, not a verifiable sports claim.
