Kalen DeBoer's seat will be pretty hot at Alabama this season

I do think that the Kalen seat is gonna be pretty hot. I was surprised that he got that extension. I I, I was surprised. I I didn't think it was necessarily, well, I mean they can do whatever they want to do, but I, when he got that extension, I was like, well that's interesting.

Pending Alabama's performance and Kalen DeBoer's job status this season.

The USMNT has a massive drop-off in talent between the starters and the backups

I will say that our, our second stringers, there's a pretty big fall off between the talent level of our starters and I'd say most of our, our backups, especially on the defensive end. It was not, it didn't, it didn't look inspiring. Yeah, we are, we are not a deep, deep team.

The take is a subjective evaluation of team depth.

Trading LaMelo Ball to the Timberwolves makes them the most interesting team in the NBA

I think it, it instantly makes the Timberwolves like the most interesting team. Yeah. Because I have no idea what the fuck is gonna happen with this combination.

Whether a team is 'most interesting' is entirely subjective.

There will not be a Major League Baseball season next year because of the CBA negotiations

Next up, we're just not gonna have baseball next year. ... In its next CBA, the league is proposing a max contract. The length of five years for free agent players switching teams, six years to retain their own players. No deferred contracts. ... It just feels like we're so far away. I don't know.

Pending the outcome of the MLB CBA negotiations for the upcoming season.

Local judges giving favorable rulings to local teams is a total disaster for college sports

I thought that the entire thing was a disaster for college football, college football, and our collegiate athletics. A total disaster. Because if we're gonna have local judges, you know, give favorable rulings to the teams that are near them, then, then what are we doing? Like this is not, there are no rules.

Most college football programs would have rallied around their QB and pressured the local judge just like Texas Tech did

If we're honest with ourselves in college football, everybody is irrational when it comes to themselves. ... to say that this was uniquely Lubbock, I think would be false. I think this is uniquely college football. And I think almost, maybe, maybe this is wrong, but I think most programs would've acted similarly to what Texas Tech [did] and then the blowback is always everybody else pointing like, we would never do that.

College football needs to collectively bargain with the players to enforce any rules

I personally believe that we need to collectively bargain with players. That's my personal belief. ... But I will tell you that without the ability to enforce rules, then, then this is a house of cards.

Subjective solution to a complex legal problem.
