The Boston Celtics have the best team remaining in the NBA playoffs

I do think unbiasedly, [the Celtics] have the best team left. At least in the East. When you talk about the West, I think the Denver-Minnesota series has been incredible.

The Celtics went on to win the 2024 NBA Championship, losing only 3 games in the entire postseason.

Spreads do not matter in Game 7 of the Timberwolves-Nuggets series

So the spreads don't matter in this game. Put it that way. It's just pick whatever team you think is gonna win.

The Timberwolves won outright, meaning the spread didn't matter for the winner, but they also covered.

The Timberwolves cannot lose when wearing their throwback uniforms

The wolves wore their throwbacks with the throwback court, which was the minute I turned on the game, I was like, oh, it's fucking on. I don't know. They should wear that every single game. I do not think they could lose in those.

The Timberwolves lost Game 7 of the WCF to the Mavericks while wearing their classic throwbacks, making this literally incorrect.

Stephen A. Smith could score five buckets on LeBron James in a one-on-one game to 100

I'm going to say that Stephen A. I think Stephen A. could score five buckets on [LeBron]... Because I think that LeBron would, he'd just, he'd get tired. There's no load management in the game to 100 one-on-one.

The game will never happen, and the literal claim that a 50+ year old non-pro could score 5 times on LeBron James in his physical Prime (or even now) is almost certainly incorrect.

The 2021 Bucks championship was one of the hardest NBA titles to win ever

I mean, look, we played the Brooklyn Nets in the second round. They've got three superstars... and it was definitely one of, if not the hardest. We started off with a team that we owed revenge to [Miami], and the Atlanta Hawks are a good young team... and the Phoenix Suns are obviously a great team.

Subjective sports debate about the difficulty of playoff runs.

I can lift more than Giannis Antetokounmpo pound-for-pound

Me and [Giannis] have a nice little friendly competition on who can lift more during a certain exercise, you know, pound for pound. Who's stronger of that nature... I said, 'Hey, look, you deserve all the credit, but don't think that I, I think you can beat me in a weightlifting contest.' That's not going to happen.

This is a claim about internal team lifting competitions which can't be independently verified but is stated with high conviction by an athlete.

The US basketball team struggles in the Olympics because international rules mitigate athleticism

The three point line closer... The key is a little bit smaller. So there's no defensive three seconds. So you can sit in the key for really, as long as you want. Goaltending: if the ball touches the rim, you can bat it off... When you're able to shrink the court a little bit, you're able to give Kevin Durant less space... It becomes more about skill... it just kind of mitigates that athleticism.

These are factual differences in the rulebooks that lead to observable differences in playstyle.
