A three-quarter-inch bottom-line ticker is unnecessary and sports broadcasts are better without it

I'll take sports back on TV... you can take [the ticker] away, that I can live without... I've seen some games where the bottom line just like not working sometimes... and the games I think are actually better without that, you know, eighth of an inch at the bottom of my screen taken up.

This is a subjective aesthetic preference regarding broadcast graphics.

Bringing in outside free agents will backfire for the Falcons by destroying Dan Quinn's 'locker room loyalty' weapon

The Falcons look great on paper, but if you're bringing in all these like new people from the outside that's taken away Dan Quinn's best weapon, which is just having a locker room full of guys that know him and like them... you get these new voices in and they're not going to be going bad for you when you start four and seven.

The Falcons started 0-5 in 2020 and Dan Quinn was fired in October, suggesting the team culture/loyalty did indeed collapse.

Bill Belichick should tank the 2020 season to draft Trevor Lawrence

Is there a chance that the Patriots Bill Belichick is going to tank this year with Brian Hoyer as the quarterback... he's greatest coach of all time. Would that not also make him the greatest tanker of all time and then they somehow get Trevor Lawrence and it's another 20 years.

The Patriots did not tank; they signed Cam Newton and tried to compete, finishing 7-9. Trevor Lawrence went #1 overall to the Jaguars.

Bill Belichick believes his system can carry a team to 11 wins even with a below-average quarterback

I actually think the Belichick with Hoyer, he's trying to recapture that magic he had and what was it 2009 when Matt Cassel took over for a season, I think Belichick thinks like if I have an average-ly talented or slightly below average quarterback and he knows my system, my system will will us to 11 wins.

The Patriots finished the 2020 season 7-9 and missed the playoffs, so Belichick's system did not carry them to 11 wins with Cam Newton/Brian Hoyer.

Conor McGregor likely fought on an existing injury and aggravated it during the fight

I think it was probably hurt and probably aggravated it during the fight. Now, would it shock me to know that Conor McGregor tore his ACL in training and then he just pretended that it wasn't hurt? No, that wouldn't surprise me either. But I think it was probably something wrong with it and when he went out there to try to fight on it immediately, just it told him, 'no, you can't do this.'

While confirmed by some medical reports later, the exact state of his knee pre-fight remains a point of debate.

England was the much better team, but Erling Haaland is a one-man squad for Norway

England was a much, much better team. But... that guy that didn't pass the ball to Erling Haaland, give me a break. Haaland, you are a one man team and that's okay.

Subjective opinion on Haaland's role.

The World Cup being expanded to 64 teams is just a monetization play by Gianni Infantino

He wanted to turn it into American sports and he wanted to use this World Cup to learn how we're able to monetize every single facet of our sports. And the fact that it was somebody whispered like, 'Hey, you know, the NCAA tournament they used to do 64, everybody loved that bracket.' He thought about that and he was like, 'that's a great idea. I think I will, I'll try to do that.'

The World Cup expansion is a fact; the motivation is subjective but widely believed to be financial.
