Christian Yelich will ruin his swing if he participates in the Home Run Derby

Real talk. It's going to mess up his swing if he competes in the home run derby... [Big Cat]: You're going to fuck up your swing. Real talk, if he says that he's going to be in the home run derby, I will put steroids in his drink.

Yelich did participate in the 2019 Derby. While he was still very good in the second half, his OPS dropped from 1.140 in the first half to 1.011 in the second half, though he still won the batting title before getting injured in September.

The Magic are going to beat the Raptors and win the NBA title

The Raptors stink. The Magic are going to win the title. They beat [the Raptors'] ass so bad that Magic Johnson logged on to congratulate his Magic counterpart in Orlando.

The Raptors went on to win the series 4-1 and eventually won the NBA Championship. The Magic did not win the title.

There are only three quarterbacks in the NFL worth a 4-year, $140 million contract

There are three quarterbacks in all the NFL that you would give this deal to... Aaron Rodgers already got it. Russell Wilson just got it. Patrick Mahomes is the third. There's not anyone else. You can't think of any other guys.

While subjective, the QB market exploded shortly after this with many more players getting similar or larger deals, though Mahomes, Wilson, and Rodgers remained the top tier at the time.

The Chiefs' window never closed

I don't think we ever actually closed the Chiefs' window. I think Mahomes was just in bed because he was injured, far away from the window.

The Chiefs' long-term contention status is ultimately subjective, though their dynasty remained active at the time of the episode.

Mahomes will be back to himself by season's end

By the end of this season, Mahomes is gonna be back to being Mahomes.

Whether Mahomes returned to his established level by the end of the 2026 NFL season had not yet been resolved.

The Oregon loss could turn Dan Lanning into a psychopath

I don't think that Dan Lanning has slept since that loss. I think Dan Lanning has turned into an absolute psycho because of this loss. He's sick. It actually might be a dangerous thing for the rest of the Big Ten that Oregon lost that game.

Whether the loss made Oregon more dangerous over the rest of the season is a future, testable team-performance claim.
