I used to believe that all adults were smart and understood exactly what was going on

I honestly used to think that every adult was smart. I thought if you were grown up, you knew what was going on. And then you grow up and you're like, we're all dumb. No, we're all really fucking dumb. I was probably smarter when I was a kid than I am now.

The claim that adults are universally 'smart' is demonstrably false and a matter of maturing perception.

It is unpatriotic to take the under on the NFL Hall of Fame game

So great to hear the music. So great to bet the over, which I'm probably gonna lose, but I'm gonna take it anyways because it's unpatriotic to take the under on the Hall of Fame game.

The 2024 Hall of Fame game (Bears vs. Texans) was called off early due to rain with the score at 21-17. Depending on the line (usually mid-30s), the over likely hit or was a push, but the sentiment remains subjective.

Roger Goodell's push for guardian caps is a calculated move to blame players for safety issues later when the league pushes for a 19-game season

I think Roger Goodell was like, tell you what, in the effort of player safety, I will allow you to wear a giant helmet that makes you look like a clown. And no one's gonna do it. And then Roger Goodell could be like, oh, I gave them the option of wearing the big red clown nose on their face. But they chose not to do it. I guess they don't care about player safety. Let's do 19 games.

The league has continued to push for an expanded schedule while emphasizing player choice in safety gear, making this a plausible though cynical interpretation of corporate strategy.

Jordan Love deserves every dollar of the massive contract extension he received from the Packers

Jordan Love got paid and he made a lot of money and Tua got paid. He made a lot of money... [Jordan Love] deserves every dollar that he got.

Love's performance throughout the life of the contract will determine its value, but at the time of signing, he became one of the highest-paid players ever.

The Celtics are statistically a better team without Jaylen Brown

Jalen Brown has the second worst plus minus of any five time All Star over the past 10 years... Also the Celtics win more games without Jalen Brown than when he is playing... Last year with, with Jalen Brown, they won 66% of their games without, they won 80%... Their entire career with Jalen Brown. They are 263 and 1 31. That's 67% without Brown. There're 60 and 26, 70%.

The stats provided are fictional/hypothetical within the 2026 setting, but presented as fact to support a 'Ewing Theory' style take.

The Celtics are no longer eligible to be the NBA's team of the 2020s without Jaylen Brown

If the Celtics rebuild and they get back to like the NBA finals, let's say in like 2029, let's say they win another chip in 2029, that's a different team. Like the core is completely different without Jalen Brown. I don't know that you could consider the Celtics to ever even be eligible for team of the 2020s. Because it's gonna be two different iterations of the team.

Inherently subjective criteria for what constitutes a 'team of the decade'.

FIFA must change the rule so a red card does not result in a next-game suspension

I think it's just a, a terrible rule that if you get a red card from a game that you're also suspended for the next game. Yeah. You're already serving your punishment by, by sitting out the rest of that game and your team has to go down one player. Why do you have to sit out the next game?

This is a subjective opinion on sporting rules.
