Pepsi was the sixth largest military power in the world in 1989

In 1989, the cash strapped Soviet Union paid Pepsi with 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate and a destroyer in exchange for three billion dollars worth of Pepsi, causing Pepsi to become the sixth largest military power, at least Navy wise, in the world.

This is a true historical fact; for a brief period in 1989, Pepsi did possess a fleet of decommissioned Soviet vessels before selling them for scrap.

Brooks Koepka will win the British Open

Brooks Koepka is back and he's going to win the British Open. He's killing it. He's three under. He's not in the lead. Two strokes back. But his caddy is basically cheating because he's from Portrush.

Brooks Koepka finished T4. Shane Lowry won the 2019 Open Championship.

Sergio Garcia will never win another major championship

Sergio Garcia from España... he's never going to put it together in major championships, so it looks like [Koepka] is in the catbird seat.

As of 2024, Sergio Garcia has not won another major championship since the 2017 Masters.

No amateur golfer has ever actually shot a 13 on a single hole

My theory is that nobody except for professional golfers have ever shot a 13 right? That's true because you just pick it up after a while.

While technically unprovable, in standard amateur play, most golfers would invoke a 'max score' or 'pick up' long before 13, making it effectively correct in spirit.

The 4-1 loss to Belgium was the worst USMNT performance in years

That was the worst performance from the US that I've seen in years. Just completely lackluster from the start. So much blame to go around. Tim Ream, friend of the program, good guy over the hill, turned into soccer Shawn Bradley before our very eyes got dunked on twice.

Subjective opinion on the quality of the performance.

Christian Pulisic was a 'no-show' and looked like he didn't care against Belgium

Christian Pulisic, the long anointed Captain America future face of this league for American soccer. Absolute no show of a game, I would say worse than a no show of a game. And then he checks himself out. Just looks lackluster, looks like he doesn't care at all. Had the most turnovers on the field of anybody. That played just really, really, really bad.

Subjective evaluation of Pulisic's effort and performance.

The US will never close the skill gap compared to the rest of the world in soccer

People will never close the skill gap. USA will never close the skill gap compared to the rest of the world in soccer.

Historically, the US has struggled to produce technical talent on par with Brazil or Europe.
