The Cowboys will find a way to fuck up their season despite their current success

If there's anything I know about the Cowboys, they'll find a way to fuck it all up.

The Cowboys won the division and a playoff game but lost in the Divisional Round to the Rams, continuing their streak of not reaching an NFC Championship Game.

The Cowboys will win the NFC East if they beat the Eagles in Week 14

This is the week that if the Cowboys beat the Eagles, they have basically won the NFC East. And it will be very hard for them to lose it.

The Cowboys did beat the Eagles 29-23 in Week 14 and went on to win the NFC East title.

The Ravens' defense is the first real test for the Chiefs' offense

The Ravens, this is the best team the Ravens are going to play in a while. ... this is the best defense the Chiefs have played in a while. So can the Chiefs play against a good defense in cold weather in December? This is my are-we-sure-they're-good game.

The Ravens held the Chiefs to 27 points (below their 35 PPG average) and took them to overtime, proving the defense was indeed a significant test.

The Chiefs' game against the Ravens is just a tune-up game for Kansas City

I would also call this a tune-up game for KC. ... It's a tune-up game for the reasons that you said, so that we get to finally put to bed... because Kansas City's beaten a lot of teams with shitty defenses.

The game went to overtime and was decided by only three points (27-24), meaning it was far from a 'tune-up' breeze.

The Chiefs' window never closed

I don't think we ever actually closed the Chiefs' window. I think Mahomes was just in bed because he was injured, far away from the window.

The Chiefs' long-term contention status is ultimately subjective, though their dynasty remained active at the time of the episode.

Mahomes will be back to himself by season's end

By the end of this season, Mahomes is gonna be back to being Mahomes.

Whether Mahomes returned to his established level by the end of the 2026 NFL season had not yet been resolved.

The Oregon loss could turn Dan Lanning into a psychopath

I don't think that Dan Lanning has slept since that loss. I think Dan Lanning has turned into an absolute psycho because of this loss. He's sick. It actually might be a dangerous thing for the rest of the Big Ten that Oregon lost that game.

Whether the loss made Oregon more dangerous over the rest of the season is a future, testable team-performance claim.
