The Masters greens are so soft it looks like golfers are hitting shots into a memory foam mattress

The greens are soft. These are remarkably soft. They look like they're hitting shots into a memory foam mattress. Yes, like hitting and kind of sinking a little bit maybe rolling an inch or two.

The 2020 Masters featured record-low scores (Dustin Johnson finished -20) specifically because the November greens were uncharacteristically soft and receptive.

The Tennessee Titans are frauds

We have to talk about the Tennessee Titans being frauds and having the worst special teams of all time. Fraudulent football team.

The Titans finished the 2020 season 11-5 and won the AFC South, though they lost in the Wild Card round.

A punter should be able to play with a broken wrist

I think that if you're a punter with a broken wrist and I want to be the heart of football guy... you should be able to punt with a broken wrist. If you're a punter, that's the one thing in your life that you should be able to still do with a broken wrist.

While punting primarily uses the leg, punters need both hands for the catch and the drop, making a broken wrist a significant impairment.

Philip Rivers is afraid of contact and can't throw deep anymore

Phil Rivers is at this point of his career that he can't throw it deep and he also can't take the physical contact of a QB sneak up the middle on a short yardage situation. It's beautiful. It's been like that for seven years. He's attempted one QB sneak in the last seven years. He just doesn't do it. He hates contact. He hates hitting that a-hole.

Rivers retired after this season; his lack of mobility was well-documented, though he still managed a productive final year.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
