The Steelers should switch back to Russell Wilson as the starting quarterback

I think you gotta go Russy at this point. I think you gotta go Russy at this point because if you go Jukey [Justin Fields] again, you're essentially playing a game of Russian Justin roulette. Right now Justin has played poorly enough where you can make that switch right now. And then maybe if Russell Wilson struggles, then you put Justin in.

Russell Wilson eventually took the starting job later in the season and led the Steelers to a strong playoff push, showing PFT's instinct for the QB change was valid.

Justin Tucker is officially washed compared to his peak

Is Justin Tucker washed? Yes. He is washed compared to peak Justin Tucker. 100%. He's no longer Justin Tucker. He's no longer, 'Hey, we have a 50-yard field goal, we're gonna make it because we have Justin Tucker.'

Tucker finished 2024 with a career-low 78.8% field goal percentage, missing several kicks from 50+, supporting the idea that he is no longer his peak self.

This victory over the Lions might be Todd Bowles' signature win as the Buccaneers head coach

The Bucs, you called it the gutsy one of the week. I think this might be Todd Bowles' signature win. He won a playoff game, but I'm gonna give Todd Bowles his signature win this week. This is signature win for Todd Bowles. We've all been waiting for one.

While Bowles won a playoff game previously, this Week 2 victory was a major statement win against an NFC favorite.

The Buccaneers are currently the number one team in my NFL power rankings

The Bucs have now beaten two outstanding teams. I think I have the Bucs number one in my power rankings right now. Commanders and the Lions.

The Bucs finished 9-8 and won their division, but they were certainly not the #1 team in the league by season's end.

The 4-1 loss to Belgium was the worst USMNT performance in years

That was the worst performance from the US that I've seen in years. Just completely lackluster from the start. So much blame to go around. Tim Ream, friend of the program, good guy over the hill, turned into soccer Shawn Bradley before our very eyes got dunked on twice.

Subjective opinion on the quality of the performance.

Christian Pulisic was a 'no-show' and looked like he didn't care against Belgium

Christian Pulisic, the long anointed Captain America future face of this league for American soccer. Absolute no show of a game, I would say worse than a no show of a game. And then he checks himself out. Just looks lackluster, looks like he doesn't care at all. Had the most turnovers on the field of anybody. That played just really, really, really bad.

Subjective evaluation of Pulisic's effort and performance.

The US will never close the skill gap compared to the rest of the world in soccer

People will never close the skill gap. USA will never close the skill gap compared to the rest of the world in soccer.

Historically, the US has struggled to produce technical talent on par with Brazil or Europe.
