Tom Brady has the only records that matter because of the postseason

If I may step in and do your pod form and say that Tom Brady actually has all the meaningful records when you take into account the postseason as well. So really, this is just on paper.

When including playoffs, Brady had significantly more career passing yards and touchdowns than Brees at the time and at the end of their careers.

Passer rating is the dumbest statistic of all time

Drew Brees was 29 for 30, 307 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and he was still 10 points shy of a perfect passer rating. Not good enough for me. It's the dumbest statistic of all time. Not only that, because it's dumb, but it's also someone can explain to me why it's still graded out of 158.3.

Whether a statistic is 'dumb' is subjective, though the math behind passer rating is famously convoluted.

Drew Brees gets lost in the GOAT conversation because he never had a year where he was clearly the best

Drew Brees, though, is a classic case of a guy who just played in an era where there were one or two guys that were always just a little bit better than him. He's never won an MVP... Aaron Rodgers threw 45 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2011... 2013, Peyton Manning threw 55 touchdowns... there was never a specific moment in time where you were like, this guy was the best quarterback in the NFL because he also played against Tom Brady, too.

Brees famously never won an MVP and often finished behind Manning, Brady, or Rodgers in First-Team All-Pro selections.

Jameis Winston will eventually be the all-time NFL touchdown leader

I think it's going to probably be Jameis' award eventually, right? They should just name it after Jameis already. Jameis being the all-time touchdown passing leader is going to be the greatest.

Jameis Winston did not become the all-time touchdown leader. He was benched/became a backup shortly after this.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
