I lean toward Alex Ovechkin returning to the Capitals for another season rather than retiring

Me and O [Ovechkin] had a couple pops multiple times... honestly both times he would say something that would lead me to think that he was leaving and then he would say something else that made me think he was coming back... the fact that he didn't make a decision early... it makes me think that there's a better chance that he is coming back... I personally lean that he's gonna be back.

Ovechkin's 2026-27 season status is pending relative to the episode date.

The Spurs vs. Thunder series is the most toxic series in NBA history

The most toxic series in the NBA is going seven... the Sj discourse, Wendy's henchman, Wemby not going to do media after game five, the blowouts, the officiating. It's toxic. Everyone hates everyone. I love every second of it, but it is toxic.

Whether a series is 'the most toxic in history' is subjective and part of the show's hyperbolic sports discourse.

Victor Wembanyama skipping the media after a bad game is a 'lame ass move' for a future face of the league

I like Wemby a lot. That's a lame ass move to not go and talk to the media, especially when you want to be the face of the league... You gotta just go and face the music when you have a bad game. We criticize Rory [McIlroy] when he does this... when you lose, you gotta just face the music.

The value of media availability is a matter of sports etiquette and opinion.

The Thunder will win Game 7 against the Spurs easily

I think that the thunder win and they win easily in game seven. And we're seeing that a lot. It's like extended series, but the the games themselves aren't particularly close.

Outcome of the May 30th Game 7 (fictional 2026 timeline) is pending relative to the episode date.

The Montreal Canadiens must score the first goal and likely the second to have a chance against the Hurricanes.

Montreal the only way they can get back is if they score the first goal in game five. They absolutely have to score the first goal and they probably have to score the second goal too, because there's no team in the league... that would be harder to chase from behind than Carolina.

The Canadiens lost Game 5 (and the series) after failing to sustain offensive pressure.

I would put myself up against anyone in the world in a shootout

At that time, probably any time, like probably even now, I would put myself up against anyone in the world in like a one-on-one shootout thing, right. And so in that moment it didn't feel super big to me 'cause it was just like I was having, I was literally smiling out there.

Inherently subjective as a 'who is better' claim, though his historical stats support high-level proficiency.

Figure skating at the Olympic level is more impressive and harder to master than sprinting on a track.

The things that figure skaters do on the ice, the best hockey player in the world wouldn't even come close, like not remotely close. I think figure skating at the Olympic level, I think it's more impressive.

The difficulty of mastering different sports is inherently subjective.
