Damian Lillard's loyalty gives him the right to call out Paul George for switching teams

And then Dame obviously said Paul George like you keep, you know, switching teams. You don't want the hard work, which if you're Damian Lillard you get to say that argument because you are you have it in for the Trailblazers your entire life. You get to make that argument.

This is an opinion on the relative standing of two NBA stars in a public feud.

Draymond Green's $50,000 fine for recruiting Devin Booker was worth it

Draymond get fined $50,000 for saying Devin Booker needs to get out of the Phoenix on the set of TNT. Well, so people are saying that there shouldn't be these tampering laws anymore like $50,000 of Draymond Green is absolutely nothing. It's actually probably worth it in terms of just the message that he was sending to Booker.

The value of a fine is subjective to the player and the goal of the tampering.

The recent NBA drama between the Warriors and Grizzlies was likely scripted

I'm convinced that there was a script going around to the Golden State Warriors to the Memphis Grizzlies... This is like sweeps week. Everyone in the NBA knew now's our time to strike and they did it with a perfect timing... It was almost a little bit too perfect and too coincidental.

The NBA does not literally script player beefs, though the timing was fortuitous.

Ja Morant will win Rookie of the Year

And Ja Morant, who I love, future Rookie of the Year, responded with Kevin Durant being like hey who won those rings Kevin Durant?

Ja Morant did win the 2019-20 NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons cannot play together

I mean the Sixers are in a big trouble. I'm prop trust the process. They don't know what to do. They have two guys that can't play together.

The pairing eventually failed, resulting in Simmons refusing to play and being traded in 2022.

The Miami Heat will make the Eastern Conference Finals

In the PFT basketball prediction Market, I think the Heat are going to make the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Miami Heat did make the Eastern Conference Finals (and the NBA Finals) in 2020.

The Golden State Warriors' dynasty is officially over

This mother fucking league cat Warriors are dead Warriors. Karma is empty. They empty the tank on the karma. Steph Curry is trash.

The Warriors finished 15-50 in the 2019-20 season, the worst record in the NBA, though they would later win a title in 2022.

Joel Embiid is the most beloved sports figure for an athlete who hasn't won a championship yet

Is there a city that loves a player more than Joel Embiid is loved in Philly? ... He is Philly. I would say that he is the most beloved sports figure in a given City that hasn't really won anything [yet].

This is a subjective assessment of a player's popularity versus their championship resume.

James Harden and Chris Paul hate each other because the Warriors drove them insane

These two guys are very outstanding basketball players... but they develop these little nitpicky things that they have to go at each other by because they're just not good enough to beat the Warriors. So now all of a sudden they fucking hate each other because the Warriors have just driven them insane.

Reporting from the time confirmed a major rift between the two players, leading to Paul being traded that offseason.

Kawhi Leonard is definitely leaving the Toronto Raptors

Doing a parade which looked awesome... and then continually answering questions when people say, like, 'What does this mean to Toronto?' and [Kawhi Leonard] is like, 'Well, it's something they can build on.' Why don't you ask someone who's lived in Toronto for more than four months? It doesn't feel like he's staying.

Kawhi Leonard signed with the Los Angeles Clippers shortly after this episode aired.

Kawhi Leonard is gone from Toronto no matter what happens in the Finals

I think he's gone no matter what. I think he's made up his mind already no matter what. There could be a world where he's like, I really love it in Toronto, but losing or winning the finals won't change that.

Kawhi won the championship and Finals MVP and still left for LA.

Kawhi Leonard is definitely going to sign with a Los Angeles team after his sister's Instagram leak

Kawhi [Leonard] to Los Angeles confirmed. Yes, yes, pretty much. The uncle definitely knows. [The uncle] was in the background like, 'they know damn well he's not going to be here next year.'

Kawhi Leonard signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in July 2019.

The Bulls should re-sign Jimmy Butler so they can return to being 'mediocrely shitty'

I kind of want the Bulls to re-sign Jimmy Butler so they can just be mediocrely shitty again. It'd be kind of funny. Get out of the lottery for the next 10 years... Just go back in time. To move to exactly where you were, which is second round losing in a five-game series.

OpinionBasketballMediumSarcastic
Butler did not return to the Bulls; he eventually signed with the Heat that summer.
