Christian Yelich will ruin his swing if he participates in the Home Run Derby

Real talk. It's going to mess up his swing if he competes in the home run derby... You're going to fuck up your swing.

Yelich did participate in 2019. He had a great second half but dealt with a back injury, making this take partially supported by superstitious fans but statistically debatable.

Tiger Woods will win every major championship next year

I'm a Tiger guy. I want Tiger to win every tour major championship next year, but if it's not Tiger, I want Patrick Reed just to piss everyone off.

Tiger Woods won the 2019 Masters, but he did not win 'every' major that year.

The Braves will be 'fucked' for 10 years after their illegal scouting scandal

They ended up losing 12 of their minor league players to free agency. They just ripped up their contracts. So basically, the Braves are going to be absolutely fucked for the next 10 years.

The Braves won 6 consecutive division titles starting in 2018 and a World Series in 2021. The penalty did not stop them from being a powerhouse.

Lucky Whitehead will sign with the Patriots and win a Super Bowl

It's very clear that Lucky Whitehead's probably going to sign with the Patriots and win a Super Bowl ring. And we're all just going to be like, 'What the fuck?' I hope that happens.

Whitehead signed with the Jets, not the Patriots, and did not win a Super Bowl.

James Harden will definitely need PR 101 assistance again in the future

First up, we have a little PR 101 for James Harden, who I'm going to call my shot here. I think this isn't the last time we're going to have to do PR 101 for James Harden.

James Harden has had several PR-heavy moments since, including multiple messy trade requests from the Rockets, Nets, and 76ers.

Robert Griffin III will definitely take pregnancy photos holding his girlfriend's stomach

Over under four and a half pictures of RG3 holding Greta's stomach on Instagram. [PFT]: Over. That's the easiest bet of all time. Smash that over... I would say like nine and a half is more like it.

RGIII and his then-girlfriend Greta did indeed post numerous pregnancy/family photos on social media following the announcement.

Baker Mayfield will get NFL starts solely because of his name

I'm going to put a little flyer on Baker Mayfield. You guys know I'm a big name guy. All-time name. That name is going to get him some starts in the NFL. It's going to get him some places. People are going to take some shots with Baker Mayfield solely because of his name and then be like, ooh, maybe he's not that good.

Mayfield was drafted #1 overall and became a long-term starter, though largely due to college performance rather than just his name.

If Steph Curry loses in the finals, the public will turn on him and call him a fraud

Everybody rooted for him last year because he was the skinny kid... Now he's so confident in his abilities, people are starting to turn on him. If he loses in the playoffs or in the finals, they're going to be like, I guess he couldn't hang with the big boys. Guess he's a fraud.

The Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the 2016 Finals, and Curry was widely criticized and called 'washed' or a 'fraud' until he won more titles.

LeBron James will announce he is re-signing with the Cavs by re-following them on Twitter

I actually think what's happening is that LeBron unfollowed the Cavs and that when he signs his option... he's going to announce it by refollowing the Cavs. It's such a shitty, like not cool thing to do, but it's so lame that it perfectly fits something that he would think was a good idea.

LeBron did re-sign with the Cavs that summer, but there was no grand 're-follow' announcement; he simply continued playing and eventually left in 2018.
