Recap
PFT CommenterJayson Tatum officially has a 'dog' in him after Game 7
I think the real winner in this series should be us for saying that Jayson Tatum is the best player on the court and he needs to get a dog. We were dog used dog salesman adoption counselors and we set up a tent outside Jayson Tatum's house. And he adopted a dog from us. He's got a dog now.
Big CatJayson Tatum is a top five player in the NBA
I think Jayson Tatum is a phenomenal, phenomenal basketball player, top five player. There are times when he floats and isn't aggressive and it drives me insane. Cause this is the type of guy that should go and take a series and that's exactly what he did.
Big CatDoc Rivers has the worst record in NBA history with a chance to clinch a series
Doc Rivers is now 17 and 33 straight up with a chance to clinch a series. That means 33 losses is the most of any coach in NBA history with a chance to clinch a series. So 34% when his team has a chance to clinch a series.
MaxThe Process is officially dead in Philadelphia
There isn't much more to this. The Process is dead. It is officially dead. It's over. Doc Rivers is gone a hundred percent. James Harden's gone a hundred percent.
PFT CommenterJames Harden doesn't actually want to win in the playoffs because he wants to party
I actually think that there might be something to the fact that James Harden doesn't want to win in the playoffs because he gets paid regardless and he just wants to go party in the off season. Like legitimately James Harden might not want to win playoff series.
MaxJoel Embiid cannot lead a team deep into the playoffs as the number one guy
He's clearly not a go-to guy in the playoffs. He's just not. Facts. And like that's something like even and if he does go, he is gonna go somewhere where he doesn't have to be the go-to guy in the playoffs. He can't lead a team deep in a playoff run.
Big CatThe NBA MVP award should only be officially given if the winner reaches the Conference Finals
I think there should be a rule in MVP voting that if you don't get past second round, it just goes to the second place guy... okay you got the MVP, we won't give it to you until you get to the Conference Finals. Then you officially become the MVP.
Basketball
Big CatThe Lakers are going to win the NBA title this year
I think I'm just gonna have to put a big bet on the Nuggets because I'm so scared of the Lakers. I have to like do a last stand because I think the Lakers are gonna win the title.
PFT CommenterThe Golden State Warriors dynasty is on pause, not over
It's not demolition. Dynasty not over, just dynasty on pause... I think if you win another in the next three years, then it still counts. It blends together as the same.
Who Is Back
PFT CommenterJa Morant's gun flashing isn't a legal issue, just a 'stupidity test' he is failing
I don't think that he was breaking any laws in this video. Was he? He was just being a dumbass, right?... Essentially there's a couple things that happened... it's almost like a stupidity test of like, can you not flash your gun and we'll be cool.
Interview
JJ WattI will not be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers next season
I will not be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I will be going to a game at Heinz Field to watch my brother play... I can tell you right now for a fact, I'm not coming back... if I went out there to play right now, it [my body] would not perform.
JJ WattI agree with Giannis Antetokounmpo that failing to win a title isn't a failure
The older I get and the further along I get and the more perspective that I get in life, I absolutely agree with Giannis' comments. I completely see people on the other side... but in terms of as an athlete, how you have to mentally live your life to not put yourself into a really, really shitty way... I love his perspective.
