Carson Wentz panics and closes his eyes when the pocket breaks down

Carson Wentz, patted the ball a little bit. He was, he was floating into his O-linemen's backs. It's almost like he closed his eyes a little bit. ... He needs to go back and play Madden 2009. They had those mini drills where it was like the pad would just fill it at you, You have to left stick around the pocket.

Wentz's lack of pocket awareness and high sack rate were major factors in his struggles with Indianapolis and Washington.

Kyle Shanahan owns Sean McVay as a coach

It was a Kyle Shanahan masterclass. [Shanahan] owns Sean McVay. Obviously not the NFC Championship game, but I think it's now nine and three against the spread, Kyle Shanahan versus Sean McVay.

Historically, Shanahan has maintained a significant regular-season advantage over McVay, though the 2021 NFC Championship game remains a major outlier in the rivalry.

Pete Carroll is having more fun with Geno Smith than he did with Russell Wilson

I actually think that Pete Carroll's having more fun with Geno Smith as his quarterback. It's a combination of like, okay, weirdo Russ isn't around so I don't have to worry about placating him all the time... If I win a game with Geno Smith, that's pretty cool. If I lose, who really cares.

While subjective, the Seahawks' 2022 season was widely considered a 'fun' success where Carroll and Geno Smith appeared rejuvenated.

From a purely passer perspective, the Lions won the Jared Goff for Matthew Stafford trade

It's time to ask like who really won that trade Cat? The Rams or the Lions. ... Just from a purely passer perspective. [Big Cat: I'd want Jared Goff.]

While Stafford won the Super Bowl immediately, Goff went on to have a highly productive career in Detroit, making this a legitimate debate long-term.

The Broncos' wide defensive line alignment gives Josh Allen a free pass to scramble up the middle.

They line up super, super wide and when you line up super wide... it gives Josh Allen free reign to look at the guards, look at the center, figure out where he is gonna go... Josh is a guy who can drop back in a non non scheme anything and just be like, oh, the ends are by me. I'm gonna take what's given to me.

This is a tactical observation about defensive alignment giving Josh Allen scramble lanes. It is a schematic analysis that cannot be objectively resolved.

The Seahawks will beat the Broncos in the Super Bowl.

I've got the Seahawks beating the Bears in Seattle and then I've got the Seahawks beating the Broncos in the Super Bowl. Ooh. A little Seahawk. And I know it's chalky... just because they're higher seeds doesn't mean they're better teams.

Kyle Long predicted the Seahawks would beat the Broncos in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks did win the Super Bowl, but they beat the New England Patriots 29-13, not the Denver Broncos. The Broncos lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship.

Ben Johnson's 'psychopath' leadership is exactly what the Bears needed to change their culture

Everything this guy [Ben Johnson] does is so insane that it's authentic... next door neighbors to insanity. But the good kind of neighbor to insanity... in order to get that stench out of the building... you need a psychopath dude. And they've got one.

This is a subjective assessment of a coach's leadership style and cultural impact.
