The modern NFL is not full of great quarterback play despite inflated completion percentages

I still don't believe that the league is full of great quarterback play. And so you have to be able to delineate the two... there was 18 or 19 quarterbacks that were completing the ball at a rate higher than than I did the years that I led the league... numbers get inflated and it looks like teams are playing better or quarterbacks are playing better because of the rules. But when you really break down the quarterback play, it's not necessarily as good as we've seen at times in the past.

Subjective analysis of generational skill levels.

If Tom Brady wins a 7th Super Bowl, he is officially the greatest athlete of all time over Michael Jordan

If Tom Brady wins the Super Bowl, is he then the greatest GOAT of all time? ... they're saying, like, that would put him over Jordan. And I do think that that counts.

Secretariat is the greatest of all time

Secretariat. Well, exactly. Secretariat. It's got to be. American Pharaoh. It has to be Secretariat.

The 'GOAT' debate is inherently subjective.

Super Bowl 55 is a game where you should hammer the live over and the live underdog

I'm going to bet the over, but this is definitely a game, most Super Bowls are like this, where the first quarter is a little bit slow. This is a live, hammer the live over game. It also is, I have the Chiefs, but if the Bucs go up or the Chiefs go up early, I think it's going to be somewhat of a close game at the end... so it's also hammer the live underdog game.

The total was 40, well under the 54.5 closing line, making the over a loser regardless of when it was placed. The Bucs won by 22, so the live underdog (Chiefs) also failed.

NFL games should be played in domes to ensure the best version of teams win championships

I want to see the best version of the Bills against the best version of the Patriots. And I want the best team to win, not the best team in those conditions... I just, I don't want that stuff to dictate who wins these games and who ultimately, you know, creates history and wins championships. I don't want that to be the case... I'd rather play in a dome in every, every game that I play than anywhere else.

Warm-weather and dome teams have a massive disadvantage because it is impossible to mentally acclimate to the cold in one day

There is a mental component to playing the game... the mental component to going from a warm weather place to a cold weather place and having to deal with the elements and not knowing how to do that is a real thing. I can go to the dome in Arizona... and we don't deal with as much of a disadvantage as [cold teams] do having to come to our place because we're accustomed to [the heat].

Mac Jones is playing mentally as well as anyone in the NFL

I always look at the quarterback position... I look at it mentally and I say, does he know what he's looking at? Does he know how to make different throws? Does he get his eyes in the right place at the right time? And [Mac Jones] is doing that as well as just about anybody in the league.

Mac Jones' performance declined sharply in subsequent seasons, eventually leading to his trade. Warner's praise proved to be based on a temporary peak.
