Carson Wentz should fake a knee injury to preserve his career and sit out the rest of the season

If I were Carson Wentz, I would just fake an injury right now. I'd take the coward's way out... and be like, oh, my knee, it hurts. Oh, I have COVID. Oh, I got to sit out. And just... be like, next year we'll start fresh... just do a full flush, fake knee injury.

Wentz didn't fake an injury, but he was benched shortly after for Jalen Hurts and then traded to the Colts in the off-season.

DK Metcalf's muscles are too big and cause him to drop footballs

DK [Metcalf] dropped another touchdown catch, and we're beginning to think he might have a problem, that maybe his muscles are too big and they push the shoulder pads out. The ball hits the shoulder pads. He can't make body catches.

Metcalf has had occasional drop issues, but he remains an elite receiver; the muscle-bound theory is purely comedic.

A smart NFL team should hire Cam Newton as a specialist for two-point conversions only

What a smart team should do is they should just hire Cam Newton to be their all-time two-point conversion quarterback. Go for two guy. Go for two every single time, snap the ball directly to him, and he either runs... or he does a jump pass. Cam Newton is probably the best short yardage football player of all time.

Cam Newton was indeed used by the Panthers later in his career specifically for short-yardage/red-zone packages, though never exclusively as a two-point specialist.

Doug Pederson has officially entered the process of being fired

Doug Pederson has officially started the process of getting fired. And I say that because Doug Peterson said afterwards he prides himself on calling plays. But for the first time, he's mentioned that a change in play caller could be on the table.

Doug Pederson was fired by the Eagles on January 11, 2021, just over a month after this take.

Betting the over on Alabama basketball is a cheat code

Alabama by the way is a cheat code if you want to get in on it. It's just betting their overs. They just never stopped missing. This has been like, oh, two weeks now they're over under for the first half was 45 and a half points last night. They scored 69 in the first half.

The 'cheat code' status of a team's over is based on a specific run of games; eventually, Vegas adjusts the lines.

Tua Tagovailoa's market value is non-existent relative to his contract

Everything's on the table for the Dolphins. Tua could be a fullback. What would you... What do you think the Dolphins would say yes to for a trade for Tua? Like a sixth round pick for Tua? A jugs machine? I don't know what the hell would Tua's market be?

The Dolphins' internal view on 'everything being on the table' is a subjective claim about team strategy.
