2021 will feature both college football and college basketball played in the spring

I actually saw an idea... that looking more and more like the springtime in college sports is going to be both football and basketball next year. That would be crazy.

The Power 5 conferences played in the fall of 2020, though some delayed starts occurred. Only lower divisions (FCS) significantly moved to spring.

Mike Francesa is making his content less accessible to the few people still listening

My friend says it was like hey, you know, what's a good idea to make sure that my content is even less accessible to the people? ... It's the MLB model. Yes. If he was smart, he would just start his own Twitter account for his own show. But I guess he's sunk a lot of production costs into doing the mics on app.

Francesa eventually left WFAN again and his app-centric model didn't significantly revitalize his reach compared to his peak terrestrial radio years.

Robert Kraft's mask donation should be treated as a good deed regardless of his politics

I just feel like we're at the point in time where it's like any good deed that can help the greater cause here, let's just let it be a good deed. What's especially egregious considering that he could go right down the street to Chris Sale and be like, 'Hey Chris, can you cut up some more MLB jerseys to Masks?'

This is a subjective moral/ethical opinion on public discourse.

Sports won't have fans in attendance for at least a year

I'm convinced we're not gonna have fans for a year. So the no fans ship has really sailed. Just give me a camera with a ball on the screen moving back and forth.

Major sports operated with zero or very limited capacity fans for approximately a full year (until Spring 2021).

Arm length doesn't matter for a tackle as long as the quarterback doesn't have tiny hands

Arm length doesn't always dictate everything. If you have a guy that's got short arms that's playing tackle, it's not the end of the world unless maybe you also have a quarterback with tiny hands, in which case it's like synergy factors. Right. Where if the guy with short arms can't block the guy and then the guy with tiny hands gets hit, more likely to fumble.

Whether specific arm length correlates to fumbles based on QB hand size is largely theoretical and difficult to prove or disprove.

You should never order appetizers at a steakhouse to maximize your sides

I'm of the mindset now that you don't need any appetizers at steakhouses. It's, it's a good place to run Zero apps... You don't need the calamari at a steakhouse... The sides at a steakhouse are elite. The mashed potatoes are always elite... mac and cheese always elite at a steakhouse, you wanna maximize your sides to go with a steak.

This is entirely a matter of personal dining preference.

Trent Williams is the rare offensive lineman who is actually fun to watch play

Trent Williams is a joy to have on your team. He's just a fucking bully. He's also the rare offensive lineman where you have fun watching him play. Like after the ball was snapped, my eyes would just go to Trent Williams because it's like this guy, we might throw an interception, but Trent Williams might punch a guy in the throat.

This is a subjective opinion about entertainment value.
