Caleb Williams' throw to DJ Moore was better than 'The Catch'

Caleb's Throw was better than Joe Montana's. He threw it from the 30. Joe Montana threw it from the 18. ... I liked it so much. I thought it was the catch. I sent it to Chris Berman. ... maybe a better throw and maybe a better catch.

While physically a 'better' throw by some metrics, historical significance ('The Catch') is subjective and generally favors Montana.

Aaron Rodgers is back to his old self

I think Aaron Rodgers might be back. The Old Gun Slinger... the last two games, he has looked old Rodgers like, and if he is going to play like that, then yes, I do think [the Steelers] can win a playoff game.

Rodgers' performance fluctuates, but 'being back' is subjective based on recent statistical surges.

The Steelers will win a playoff game this year

I think the Steelers, this is the year that they're going to win a playoff game. I've set it all year. ... If they can play the Chargers, if they can get that matchup, I feel like they could win that one.

The Steelers did not win a playoff game in the 2025-26 season.

The NFL engineered the Steelers' Monday Night Football winning streak

The NFL has engineered this streak for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The win-loss record, the winning percentage of opponents that the Steelers have played during the streak on Monday night football is 40%. That is by far the weakest schedule of any team that's played on Monday Night Football.

While the opponent winning percentage can be calculated, 'engineering' implies intent which is a subjective conspiracy claim common to the show.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
