Getting benched is the best thing that ever happened to Carson Wentz

I actually think Carson Wentz getting benched was the greatest thing that's ever happened to Carson Wentz. Dude, he's going to get paid to not play football. And he's really bad. So now he doesn't have to be really bad every week. I'm sure he dreaded playing football.

Subjective, though Wentz was eventually traded to the Colts and his career continued to decline, suggesting the benching was the start of the end in Philly.

The Washington Football Team technically controls their own destiny in the NFC East

Washington football team. Do we control our own destiny? No, no, no one controls our own destiny. The giants was concept. Yep... Washington football team's in first place. Tied technically not in first place, but really they're in first place.

Washington did go on to win the NFC East in 2020 with a 7-9 record.

The NFC East might get three teams into the playoffs

I crunched numbers... I went on the ESPN playoff machine for like an hour until I got the equation right. And if Tampa Bay ties the Vikings this week, then the Eagles could also get in... We might get three teams in [the playoffs] Big Cat.

Only the Washington Football Team (7-9) made the playoffs from the NFC East in 2020.

The Washington Football Team and New York Giants are legitimate good teams that could win a playoff game

In all honesty, I think that the NFC East jokes are gone in the fact that whether it be the Washington football team or the New York Giants, both of those teams are good teams that if they get in the playoffs, they could win a game... I'll probably bet on them.

Washington lost their playoff game to Tampa Bay 31-23, and the Giants did not make the playoffs.

Kevin Willard's joke about firing his staff was funny and shouldn't have been taken seriously

It was such a clear joke and people, I couldn't believe... There were people who actually thought he was being serious. I thought it was a funny joke. And then we had the people trying to cover for themselves being like, well, even if it was a joke, that's not a joke you make. Imagine if you're an assistant and you hear your boss say that.

Whether a joke is funny or appropriate is subjective.

The lack of Cinderellas in the tournament isn't due to NIL but because big teams are more efficient and physical

Todd Golden had a very good point... part of the reason why there's less upsets is teams are just getting way more efficient in scoring at the rim and becoming almost like raising their floor and becoming upset proof in the fact that you get really big dudes... and absolutely hammer the boards. And when you do that against smaller schools, you're not gonna like, how do big schools lose the small schools is like three point variance.

This is an analytical opinion on sports trends that can't be definitively proven right or wrong.

The Sweet 16 in Houston won't be a home game for the Cougars because Iowa and Nebraska fans travel too well

Illinois, Nebraska and Iowa have some pretty big fan bases that are all gonna wanna travel, especially Nebraska... I don't think it's gonna be like they're gonna take over the place, but I don't think it's gonna be 80% Houston at this game.

The attendance split of the Sweet 16 regional in Houston will determine this.
