I am switching my pick to the Detroit Lions over the Los Angeles Rams

I said Rams all week... and I've switched... I'm betting the Lions. I'm gonna take the Lions just because I don't want to make blood money off the Rams winning... I think the Lions are better.

The Lions beat the Rams 24-23.

Pete Carroll has an argument for being a top 10 football coach of all time

Pete Carroll has an argument for being a top 10 football coach of all time. He's 14th all time in NFL wins. He's got two national titles in college football. If you put it all together, Pete Carroll has an argument for being a top 10 football coach of all time.

Subjective all-time ranking.

I would rather the Patriots hire Mike Vrabel than Jerod Mayo to replace Bill Belichick

I would rather Vrabel... He's a recurring guest, friend of the program. He's proven it. Super Bowl champion. Obviously Mayo is too, but I would rather Vrabel just [because of his] proximity to the show.

The Patriots hired Jerod Mayo on January 12, 2024, the day this episode aired, making Hank's preference obsolete.

Bill Belichick might have wanted to leave the Patriots to find a team with a roster ready to win now.

I think that there's a chance he did wanna leave. I think that he might be at a point where he doesn't want to do a rebuilding coaching team and he wants to go to a, a place that has guys. I think that like, if the Cowboys are on the table... he may be willing to go to a give that up for a team. A team that could win now.

The true motives of Belichick and Kraft remain private, making this an unconfirmable opinion.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
