The Dallas Cowboys are basically the same team they were last year

Dallas fans are so confident right now, as they should be. You're a good team, but you're basically the same team that you've been, or that you were last year at least. Yeah. Well, well, Mike McCarthy is the same guy that he was last year.

The Cowboys finished 12-5 for the third straight year and suffered another early, embarrassing playoff exit (Wild Card vs Packers), validating the take that they hadn't actually changed their ceiling.

Dak Prescott is a legitimate NFL MVP candidate because he's taking better care of the football than last year

Dak Prescott's playing way better than last year. He is playing out of his mind. ... Last year he finished the season 23 touchdowns, 15 interceptions. This season through week 13, he's 23 touchdowns, six interceptions. He's having an awesome, awesome year. And he's up there for MVP.

Dak Prescott finished 2nd in the 2023 NFL MVP voting behind Lamar Jackson, so he was definitely a 'legitimate candidate'.

The Seahawks are in trouble... They have to play. Their next two games are against the Niners and the Eagles. And they, they can't keep losing and make the playoffs.

The Seahawks lost to the Niners but beat the Eagles; they ultimately finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
